First of all thanks for all the reads, reviews and votes, it's much appreciated. I'm glad all of you are still as invested in this story as I am. I'm sorry for the long wait, I sincerely apologise, but after New Years I've started working full time and I haven't got the normal time I used to have to write and edit. So I apologise for the long wait and that the stories and updates have led under my new schedule. I'll try to do better, but know that the updates might not come as regularly as you guys were used to. I do hope you enjoy this update though.

"And are you looking forward to visiting Canada, Ma'am?" One of the guests asked her as she nodded her head with a big smile on her face. "Of course, I've heard so much about it from our friends and from several other people. Now I'm looking forward to meet the people and see the amazing places Canada has to offer. I'm particularly looking forward to the national park, I've heard it's utterly stunning." she explained to the older woman and that woman couldn't help but think that her excitement was real, the way her eyes lit up with excitement, everyone doubted The new Duchess with the nightmare that had just left, but seeing and looking in the eyes of the new Duchess, she didn't have one deceiving bone in her body. She was going to be doing an amazing job.

"Where are you from if you don't mind me asking?" Amelia asked her with an interested tilt of her head as she grinned at the young and beautiful woman in front of her.

"My family is from around Vancouver, you'll love it there, it's beautiful with all of nature," she told her as Amelia nodded her head at that.

"I'm just a small-town girl, whenever I can return to nature I'm a happy woman," she told her as she let out a chuckle and the other woman could only nod and smile at her.

"Is it hard adjusting to living in such a big city?" She asked her as Amelia tilted her head to the side in thought, before giving her a small smile.

"Sometimes, I've grown used to it and I love England I always have and always will. I love everything about it and I love London, but sometimes I want to be able to look around and just see nothing but fields and paddocks to have the fresh country air that you can only get when you're there and hearing the birds chirping in the morning. That's something I miss, the small thing in life in the countryside." she explained to her as she nodded her head, realising that there was a lot more to this young woman. It wasn't one hung on money and fame, she loved the tiny things in life.

"Oh and the sunsets and watching the night sky, I love watching the stars, I can't really do that here. I'm already dreaming about being able to see them in some places in Canada. It's so beautiful when you can see them unobscured by the city lights." she explained to her with such a love for what she spoke that she truly believed that Amelia was unlike anything they had ever had in this family. She was anything but Meghan, she was far more than that in a good way. And she was honest to god when she looked forward to seeing this woman grow and become a true Princess. She could still see the nervousness in her that would grow out once she was more settled in her role.

"You really did amazing tonight love, I couldn't be prouder of you, I only heard good things about you from everyone," Alex told his wife with pride as they crawled in bed later that night as she gave him a small smile, settling down on her pillow.

"I just did what felt right, and it wasn't too bad, if all people are that kind in Canada, we'll have a splendid time," she told him, moving more to him so she could rest her head on his shoulder with a small sigh. His arm slung around her waist as he trailed the tips of his fingers up and down her side.

"I have no doubt about that. You'll charm the pants off of them. They're going to love you." he whispered to her in trust and determination. "Oh I don't know, some more than others." she pointed out, looking up at him with a hint of amusement. He knew that rich and snobby people were not really her forte. She would bear it, none would be the wiser, she'd do her duty and smile and do what was expected, but she wasn't going to enjoy it, he only had to remember their trip back to Belgium and thinking about how she'd been annoyed by the asslicking they'd gotten there. She disliked being unreal, fake and stuck up more than anything else. But she was going to be fine around the small folk, she could understand them better than anyone else, she was part of the smallfolk and for that reason, people would relate to her more than any other royal member of his family. None were as connected to the smallfolk as her. Kate hadn't been from her background, they'd been well off. Sure she was loved and understood small folk. But Amelia would be better to that than anyone else in his family.
