A scratch of deepest sorrow
A trail of blood, shiny as satin
Slithering across her naked breasts
Red rubies
Glimmering in the melted moonlight
A black cloudless sky, Still as the lake

A drip, a drop of blood
A scratch wet and thick
Dripping, dripping, dripping
Trailing from her chin
To her chest
A gouge into her soul
A single trail of red midnight blood

Her  heart thumping and pumping
A claw wedged deep inside
Blood pooling and dripping
Across her stomach and in between her toes

A waterfall
Her soul sucked clean
An invisible hand clenched around her heart
Squeezing out the dribbling red
Her blood sliding  along the grass
Disappearing over the lips of the lake
A red gloss to cover the shores
