-Strange Point Of View-
After Mackenzie fled the room in a hurry, the body from under the bed gripped the button tightly and then crawled out when they were sure she left. They also brought Mackenzie's worn out and torn top. They quietly left the room and to the stairs.
The mysterious person went down seven flights of stairs and to the basement doors. They closed it with a loud bang to scare Mackenzie again. Of course they know it's Mackenzie helping to solve her mothers death with the police. The person was spying on her talk to the police, so the person is trying to get rid of any clues and create fake clues.
The button was a great clue. The person got the button before Mackenzie would get it the next day. It wasn't they're button, it was the murderers and this person was helping out, with something.
"Is everything going as planned?" A voice asked.
"Perfectly." Replied the murders helper.
