After being a month and a half in recovery, Mackenzie gets well and carries on with life. With Niall by her side. The two have gotten close and their lie played off well. Niall confessed to Mackenzie everything the four others were up to and how they were convincing him that their plans were great. He admitted he was tricked into them, but he never really wanted to do them.
It took some time for Mackenzie to be convinced that Niall was indeed telling the truth, but in the end she believed him. They left the past behind them and faced the future. To others around them, they knew that Mackenzie and Niall were quite head over heels for each other. But nothing new came up. They were still friends.
Niall and Mackenzie lived next door to each other in small, but cosy, apartments. Niall got a job at a music store and Mackenzie got a job as a waitress. Both were happy with the way things were turning out for them.
But the happiness will change and it doesn't end there...
They return.
