Seen a lot of these "Wrong Boy Who Lived" storys. Thought I'd try my hand at one. Not Yet Complete.

(I'm only 22 parts in and can already tell you that this is NOTHING like my original concept in regards to what happens with Harry)

The Potter's were such a happy family. Such a Magical family. Such a perfect family.

They had two sons. One was Harry Potter. The other boy wasn't actually their's.

On December 17th of 1981, Lily's poor sister, Petunia Dursley, and her husband Vernon died in a tragic car crash. They'd been out Christmas shopping while a sitter watched their son, Dudley.

The Potter's happily took Dudley in via Blood adoption and decided to raise him as their own. He would have plenty of story's about his real parents of course. Lily loved her sister very much even if they grew apart over the years.

In the process of the adoption, Gringotts was attacked.

The Potters were fine, if just a bit scrambled, but several records were mixed up in the process.
Now magic records show that Dudely Dursley-Potter was born on 31 July 1980 while Harry Potter was born on 23 June, 1980.
It was a simple mix up of the dates of the boy's births, and wouldn't really matter in a normal life. But this story is about Harry Potter, so it will make all of the difference.

31 October 1984

The Potters were in hiding, enjoying a nice evening with their family. James was down stairs cleaning dinner and talking to Harry about his Maruder days, who was trying to avoid sleep. Lily was up stairs, putting Dudley to sleep as she hummed a special song.

Hmhmmhmhmhmhmhmhmmm hmhmhmhmhmhmmhmmmm hmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmm hmhmhmhmhmhmhm hmhmhmhm hmhmhmhm hmhmhmhmhmhmhm hmhmhmhm hmhmhmhm hmhmhmhmhmhmhm

A loud crash intrupted her song downstairs.

"LILY! HE'S HERE! RUN! Harry, go upstairs to mommy!" He yelled up the stairs.

Harry saw a cloaked man point a wand at his dad as he ran toward the stairs. When he turned around he tried to tell his daddy to come to, but was cut off.
"Avada kedavera." A voice hissed and green light filled the room.

Harry stared in silence, not fully understanding what he was seeing but seeing it in way that he would never forget a single detail. Then he ran up to his and Dudley's room.

Lily turned to the boys. The bed closest to the closet was where Harry had gone to since it was his, she'd ran too him first. Harry had grabbed his dad's cloak, which had found it's way onto his bed as a blanket. "Don't worry baby. Mama loves you. Mama loves you Harry, and nothing will ever change that." She kissed her quiet son's cheek before running to Dudley who cried loudly.

"Shhh. Shhh. Shh. Shhh. You're okay Dudley. You'll be just fine. Shhh. Here you are now. You're okay. Aunty loves you. Yes. I love you very much. You're mama loved you. Your dada loved you. Your uncle loves you. Yes. We all love you so very much. Hush now. Shhh."

A dark chuckle erupted from the door way. "Stand aside girl." He ordered. Tears rolled down Lily Potter's cheeks as she put herself between the boys and the Dark Lord. She knew she would die tonight, but she would be damned if she didn't die protecting her family.

"Never! Take me, but spare them! They're are only children. Barely 4 years old." She pleaded with the insane man.
The Dark Lord sneered and swished his wand at her.
A loyal death eater asked that he spare the Lily girl, so he would. She would live passed this night. But... Voldimort sneered at the screaming woman at his feet .... Whether or not she remained sane is yet to be decided.

He lifted the curse. "Which is the Child born to defeat me! Who is the child that was born at the end of the seventh month. Tell me! I am not a fan of riddles girl."

Lily shook her head and attempted to stand.
Voldimort knew the Order would be coming soon, so in one fail swoop he kidnapped both children and the woman and apperated them to his unplottable manor.
Dudley continued to cry, but Volidmort just put a silence bubble around him. The other child was thankfully quiet.

"Crusio!!!" He yelled, starting the begining of an hour of curses. He kept asking the same question, but Lily forgot how to make noise. Was she screaming? It was hard to tell.

2 hours after and Lily came across the land. The same mental landscape that took in the minds of her best friend, Alice Longbottom and her husband. She wanted it. She wanted to disappear there, but the silencing charm wore off on Dudley who was still crying. The crying child pulled her back.

"D-dudley?" She asked in a near silent voice, extremely horse.
Volimort sneered. Finally, something other than screaming. He needed answers and as fun as screaming was, it didn't really give him the information he needed. "Tell me. Who has the power to defeat me?!" He screamed.

Lily was in an odd metal state. She couldn't really see and processing things took a fair minute. She was very fragile right now and was teetering on the edge of extreme mental trama and scarring.

"Harry." She muttered. She was asking where he was, but Voldimort took this as her answering his question. He smirked.
"Good. The mudblood can be taught." He sneered before turning to the boys.

He knew the loud and crying one to be Dudley, so the other must be Harry.
Harry sat behind his cousin in the shadow of a corner, he might not even be there. It was hard to see him and he was completely silent so it wasn't a surprise that's the Dark Lord missed at first.

Of course. Lily didn't see that. She saw a bright green light flying toward her children and she screamed loudly. Voldimort threw one again. This time it hit its target and a blindling light filled the room. Lily fell uncontious and all that was left of Voldimort was the wand that now fell to the ground.

Harry, now a horcrux, walked over to the wand curiously. He picked it up with the hand not holding the blanket/cloak He had yet to loosen his grip on, and giggled at the feeling as sparks shot out the tip.

Dudley saw Harry had the wand and stopped crying so he could have it. He ran over, his baby fat bouncing, and tried to take the wand. "Give me! Give me it now!" Dudley demanded.
Harry stuck his tounge out. "No! Not yours." He argued. Dudley turned red and kicked Harry.
"Freak!" He yelled before marching over to Lily's uncontious form.
He sniffed and he teared up a moment. Then, he started crying and waited for his aunt to tell Harry to give him the cool stick.

Harry rolled his eyes and wished he were somewhere else so he didn't have to listen to this.

To his surprise, he appeared in the middle of the woods.
