Lilly reappeared in the forest and went straight to the snake caves. There, she found Harry sleeping soundly amongst the snakes. She cooed and just about left the child to sleep, but he woke up.

A groggy moment later and the caves were filled with excited giggles and irritated hisses.
"Lilly! You came back! How?" Harry asked. Lilly said nothing, but ushered him outside.

Out in a clearing, Lilly sat down with Harry and started a most important conversation.
"To answer your question, Harry, I am an elf. Elf magic is different from wizard magic in magical ways and defies many of it's rules." She offered. Harry was in awe.
"Really? Do... Do you think I could learn?" He asked, unsure about his words.

Lilly was shocked, but thought on it. "You're only four, right?" She asked. Harry nodded.
"Hmm... Well, there is this one ritual... The additional magic would fade if not mastered before you turn 5 and no harm would be done anyways, so maybe..." She looked at him with narrow eyes. "I might be able to teach you. Do you want to learn? If I teach you, I will teach you everything you need to know. Will you promise to do your best to learn for me Harry?" She asked. Harry smiled and nodded, sticking his pinkie out.
"I promise!"
Magic cracked in the air, shocking both of them. Did Harry just... Lilly checked herself and her jaw dropped. Harry just preformed a compulsionary wizards promise through a bloody pinkie promise!

Wizards promises were hard enough and held a lot of risk. Now, Harry would be subconsciously compelled to learn everything he could, taking away the risk and inhancing his focus on lessons...
Now that was just convenient.

Lilly poped away from some potions for a moment before coming back. She started setting up the ritual, filling her end of the deal.
"This is a little bit of a history lesson, so listen close, alright?" She prompted. Never hurt to multi-task.

Harry sat down on a large rock with a smile. "Okay!"

Lilly nodded and went about her work as she spoke. "This ritual was originaly created to turn young children who were sold into slavery into house elves. Through trial and error, wizards found that the ritual worked a little differently than that. It only works on children under the age of 5. It also does not turn children into Elves, but simply fuses an elvin core into their own magical core. In the case of Muggles, it just gives them an elvin magic core. Even after all of that, if the elvin core is not mastered by the age of 5 it will fade and the child will be left as they were before the ritual..... Come here." She ushered the boy over.

Harry, who followed basicly none of that, came over to her on command.
"I want you to lay down in the middle. I don't know if it will hurt or not, but be prepared. Okay?"

Harry nodded and did as he was told. Lilly poured some potions on the ground and across Harry in odd ways all the while saying some weird chant in a laguage that Harry couldn't understand.
After a while, Harry started feeling weird.

A bright golden light shot out from his chest, coiled around it was a black light. Wait. Not coiled around it, they were coiled around eachother. In perfect harmony. Another, thinner beam made its way from the ritual products. Lilly recognized its signature as the elvin core. As if it were sentient, it hesitated and looked over Harry's core before glowing a little brighter and nestling it's way into the harmony. The cores then disappeared back into Harry who gasped back into contiousness.

He looked around for a moment before looking at Lilly. "Did it work?" He asked. Lilly smiled and nodded, wiping tears from her eyes. When did she shed these? When she saw the boy's pure and perfectly harmonized light and dark core? Possibly.

She sighed and shook her head. "Alright. We don't have very long, so we'll learn Elf magic first. Ask any questions you might have, alright. Explaining things is something I love to do, so feel free."

Harry nodded and helped her clean up. "So the first thing you need to know is..."
