"Alright Crystal. I need you to be on your best behavior and do exactly as I say. Alright?" Harry warned again. Crystal smiled and rolled her eyes.
"Yes mama."
"Good." He smiled towards Lilly. "We're ready."

As they approached a gruff voice yelled. "Who dares to disturb us?! Show yourself!"
"

Oh honestly Gorgan, stop being so callous. I'll be right there!"

A pleasant looking Gryffin stood at the front of the cave. "Ah. You must be the human I've heard about." He sniffed the air. "My my. That sure is quite the army you've built. You've also gotten yourself and imprint claim have you? A Hippogrif?! Well now." The Gryffin smiled.
A grumpy looking Gryffin appeared behind him and sniffed the air at well. He glared at Harry. "You stink of claims. Why are you here? Go away." He growled.

"Um... He-Hello." Harry smiled nervously. "My name is Harry Messair. Uh, I know, you don't know me very well but um... Would it be okay if I ask you for a favor please?" He finally got out.

"Depends on what you want and what we'll get in return brat." The grumpy one said.

Harrh blushed. "Well, um... You see. I have this Hippogrif, Crystal, and uh. Cou-w-would you mind if- if it wouldn't be a bother, would you be willing to mentor her?" He asked. The nice one gave a sympathetic smile, but the grumpy one glared.
"Crystal?" He asked. Harry nodded and turned around.

"Crystal." He called.
"Coming Mama!" A cute voice called before the owner landed shakily next to Harry. She smiled proudly and stuck her beak in the air a little. The grump didn't seem to like this.
"Yes well. Isn't that just like a Hipogriff. Arrogant. Always having to show off. Typical. I refuse to be around any creature that has more pride than brains." He spat.

Crystal's face dropped and she backed away slightly, looking as if she would cry. Lilly was about to step in, when Harry's face flushed in anger.
"Excuse me! You, sir, are out of line. Crystal never did anything to you. ACTUALLY, she was trying to IMPRESS you. She's been working very hard on her flying in Auntie Harper's lessons and has very much EARNED the right to be proud. As if you, the poster creature for Gryffin Steiro type, have any room to judge her for being prideful like most Hipogriffs. Call me a brat all you want, but I will NOT stand here and listen to you insult my baby girl." He stated, never actually raising his voice other than for a few choice words.

Harry softend his eyes to look at the nicer Gryffin. "So sorry about the trouble. Have a great day." He bowed his head slightly and got the same in return before turning a fine glare back on the grump who'd dared to insult Crystal.

He bent down and wrapped his arms around his teary eyed Hippogriff before apperating back to the snake caves.
For some reason, Lilly conjured a door for his room. Harry still didn't get why, but let it be.

After that, life just went back to normal. Harry squashed any self doubt Crystal might have developed due to the Gryffin's words as quickly as he saw any signs.
