Pulling out my phone from my butt pocket to call an abulance, my mom was seeing if my father had a pulse. He did. I didnt know my new address to tell them though, shit. After figuring out my apartment number and running to the corner of the street, the ambulance was on thier way. I was shocken up and scared. What happened to him? I could only think back to the heart problems that runs from my grandfathers side. I wanted to finishing unpacking but my father was more important.

Seeing him still lay in the doorway with my mom by his side make my heartbreak. I could hear the sirens and the lights flash frantically down the road. The ambulance pulled up seconds later. What was I supposed to do,? My mom would ride with him in the ambulance but I didnt want to drive his truck, I never drove it before, the thing was a beast.

I seen the men pull the gurrny from the back and instantly fell in tears. Was this even real? I didnt have the greatest relationship with my dad growing up but I still had sympathy and love for him. They lifted my father onto the stretcher and strapped him in. They carried him down the steps and rolled him across the side walk over to me. I gave him a kiss on his forehead and said "Goodbye and goodluck, love you dad!" he took my hand and grasped it for a few seconds. Moaning in pain they had to put him in the truck so they could leave. My mom hopped in the side door as they closed the back doors. The truck pulled away and I had absolutley no clue what to do besides to call Katherine.

She answered in panic because I was crying. I could not speak clearly, she said her parents and her where on thier way over. Guess I could go back in and pick up the box my dad had in his hands. Picking up the box and going into the kitchen I set the box on the counter and opened it. My five picture mirrored frame was shattered all over, so was my shadow box. My shadow box held all my stuff from when I was a preemie.

I wanted to shed more tears but already had enough. I closed the box and sat on the bar stool. My phone rang and it was my mother. I could only imagine what she was going to say. As I put my phone to my ear I could hear the excitment in her voice. as she said "Brooke Lynn!" A relief washed over my face.

I was still on the phone with my mother when I heard Katherines parents and her arrive. Looking desperatley out the front window of the living room I gave her a smile. She smiled back. My mom was explaining to me that my dad had  low blood sugar and a minor fracture in the wrist. I was beyond happy that my father was fine now and would be able to go home. I had to let my mom go so I could entertain Katherine and her parents, feeling bad that they rushed over to make sure I was okay.

As I greeted them at the door Katherine questioned as to why I was crying on the phone. I explained to her every detail. She gave me a big tight hug (which I did need) it was comforting. "Your apartment is very bare and everyhting looks like its still in boxes sweetie, you want us to help?" Katherines mom asked.

Her parents were like my second parents. They did anything I needed them too, even without asking sometimes. "If you don't mind I could use some help bringing in the couch and TV set!" I said. They went start ahead and got it all moved in. Me and Katherine unpacked my kitchen supplies and appliances. I saw her stare at my Kurig machine like she wanted to be the first one to use it and have some cappuchino. I let her, she was so excited. I knew Katherines dad, Rick, enjoyed his coffee too. I offered him a cup, ofcourse he said he didnt want to use "my" coffee. But to me it was for anyone and everyone who came over! Plus, they were such a big help since my dad got injured. Katherines mom set up my living room and dining room in the most stylish hipster look, I loved it!

My parents came back just before dinner time. They didn't even knock just walked in, it startled me at first, and I sure hoped that they wouldn't do it when they visited, I need my privacy. My dad looked ten times healthier than when they took him away. He had a wrist brace on too. I felt lucky in that moment since nothing severe happened to him.

We all sat around gossiping and snacking, my parents toured the finished outlook of my apartment. They seemed pleased with how it looked. It was getting later into the night and my dad was tired, I'm sure Katherines parents were too. We all embraced and said "See you tomorrow, the BIG day is here!"

I'd be spending my first night in my own apartment tonight. Felt odd but comforting, it's what I always dreamed of. It wasn't exactly located in the city like I planned but the suburbs was good enough. I sat around watching some Netflix before gathering my stuff I would need for classes tomorrow. Political Science 1001, College Success, English 1001, Sociology 1001 were this semester's choices.

11 PM came around and I figured I needed my beauty sleep. I went around my apartment turned off the lamps in the living room along with the TV, bolted my door (I'm always afriad of something happening) and changed into my pajamas.
