My alarm rang loud enough to wake up my whole house. It was a big day for me, moving to college. Later in the year before I graduted high school I had to think hard and long about where I wanted to attend my next four years. The thought of moving far into the city away from the small town community made me cringe, but the expirence is what I'm looking for.

I spent non stop days of filling out college applications while doing high school Algebra homework. Wrote more essays than I could imagine, and graduted knowing that in the upcoming Fall I would be attending Penn State University.

Penn State was far from my hometown but I needed to get away, have some fun... live a little. And today was the day everything started. I had to pack clothes into bags and all my apartment supplies in boxes to load into my fathers truck. The best thing about my new adventure was my bestfriend was joining me. My bestfriend and I met when I asked her to join me to attend a boyband concert, her name is Katherine.

I have come to dread the packing that I procastinated on. My mom always told me to do it whenever I had free time, but I'm a teenager. I had better things to do than pack my life away. It's sad knowing that I may never come back to the original place I grew up in.

Once all my boxes and shelves were into the hatch of the truck, my dad put the trailer on. I had to take my furnature from my old room and put it in my apartment room since it didnt come furnished. We packed up my dressers and night stands, along with my vanity. This was a never ending process.

Sadly everything was packed now and it was time to take off. The day flew from loading everything but I would've never guessed this time to go by so fast. I'll always remember this place no matter where I'm at. I call it "home".

My dad and I were in the truck waiting for my mother to put on her leather boots and jacket. It was Fall around here, my favorite season. My mother finally got situated in her seat and on the road we went towards Abington, Pennslyvania. The time in the car was going by fast, our first stop was going to be in Canton, Ohio.

Six hours into the drive my parents switched so my dad could rest. I was willing to drive but I ended up napping a little and reading my Alexa Chung book called IT. My major in college was fashion journalism and public relations. I always thought it would be cool and superb if I could work for a magazine company or a high-end fashion company.

Late into the night I was woken up so we could head into the hotel and get the rest we needed. My mother looked exhausted and I was kinda craving some McDonalds. Luckily there was one right across the street. My subconious was telling me to get all the food I wanted but in reality I didnt feel like it, I just wanted sleep.

My dad ended up falling asleep first (like always) and my mom stayed up for a while on Facebook (she couldn't live without that social network)... I ended up reading more of my book and texting Katherine, even if she wasn't up I had to blow up her messages. Katherine ended up replying after I sent her five messages in caps. The devil had risen. I could tell in her reply that something had happened along her journey to Abington. I figured it had something to do with a boy... ofcourse I was right. Supposely while Katherine and her parents were at a resturant a random guy came up to her and handed her a piece of paper. Seconds later I ended up recieving a picture of the paper he gave her, it read "Hey, you are a real cutie. My names Tyler and you should call me sometime." followed by his number and a smiley face. It was cute. My question was if she would actually talk to him though, Katherine is shy.

I guess I ended up drifting off asleep in the middle of mine and Katherines conversation last night. I felt bad but we'd be seeing eachother in two days, what more could happen?

My parents went down to the lobby of the hotel to catch the 8 AM breakfest specials they had, I joined them fifteen minutes later with McDonalds. Thier breakfest looked a lot more healthier than mine but I didnt care. Greasy food is always good for the soul, well atleast that's what I had thought. My mother complained to me because she knows how i'll be eating as a college student. Probably living off Ramen Noodles and Mac-and-Cheese.

We ended up finishing our breakfest on schedue so we could go back up to the room, pack up and head into Pennsylvania.
