<Devon>

Kaylee hasn't been the same since that night at the party. She's been so sad. I guess I can't blame her for it, her and Malia have been friends forever. That's what it seems like at least. Kaylee has just been sitting on the couch they have next to me she hasn't talked much either. Only words I've heard were "I'll be right back", "no thanks", "no", "yes", and other things like that. I try to comfort her by putting my arm around her or hugging her, but she normally just shakes my arm off her shoulder and doesn't hug back. She hasn't eaten much either. I'm really worried about her.

"Malia will be fine, Kaylee. She's in good hands. There's nothing to worry about" I say to comfort her. "Nothing to worry about? There's plenty to worry about!" She says back with anger. "She's in good hands" I say again. "I understand that, Devon, but there's still a lot to worry about. The doctor said both legs are broken and her wrist. That's not all tho. I overheard the doctor talk to Malia's mom, she has a concussion that's severe, she's in a coma, and she is unstable. You call that nothing to worry about?" She says like she's trying to set me on fire. "The doctors will take care of her. You need to eat and sleep. Why don't you go do that, get your mind off things" I say trying to call her. "I'm not doing anything until Malia is fine. I've always had lunch with her, I'm not having lunch without. Got it?" she says raising her voice then mellowing it out. "No, Kaylee. You need sleep and to eat. Malia is getting food and so should you" I say. "If you keep telling me what to do, I'm going to..." she said as I cut her off with kissing her. I couldn't stand her being mad so I kissed her. I don't remember making that decision, but I'm glad I did. She never pulled away, which meant she liked my decision. Finally, we agreed on something. We sat there a little while kissing. When we pulled away, she was smiling. She must have realized too that it was our first kiss. She kept smiling then said "you kissed me." "I did" I said back smiling as I said it. "Why?" she said. My smile faded and I didn't reply. "Not that I care, I liked it. But why?" she said blushing. The light pink on her cheeks made her eyes sparkle. I smiled again "you liked it?" I said. She blushed more, turning her cheeks a redish pink color. "Yea" she said a few seconds later. "Good" I whispered then leaned in again and kissed her again.
