Where was my jaw? on the floor.
As Frigga opened the magnificent golden double doors to my 'chambers'
I, of course, smiled at the posh words,
Was greeted with a stunning sight, a large chandelier with millions of little glass teardrop shape pieces hung above us, a beautiful dusty blue silk sheeted bed with shimmering gold intricate markings lining the walls.
It was breathtaking. Just like everything else here in Asgard, I'm not sure you could label something remotely 'ugly' or 'unappealing' because there was simply nothing here that you could say looked like that without it being a lie.
It felt like I'd just stepped into a fairy tale book and got a first-hand look at inside the castle and it was like a dream.
"I'm glad you like it, love" Loki leaned in whispering my ear from behind sending an odd shudder up my spine as I felt his breath fan my neck.
"Frigga...this...this is too much I dont think I'm very deserving of-"
"nonsense" it wasn't Frigga who cut me off but Loki as he stood tall next to me with a grin, "it is one of the best rooms in all of Asgard, of course, you deserve it"
My cheeks warmed with a little embarrassment at how much praise he was giving me, I was just a mortal from earth to these people, nothing special. Yet here he was making me out to be some queen or something.
I wouldn't call myself overly confident, I do know my self worth-sort of- but all of this was a lot to take in and I also didn't want to seem ungrateful for such efforts.
"Like my son has said, though, with different word choice, It is quite alright Sparrow we are happy to accommodate you here unless it is not to your liking?" the queen turned to face me after flattering open the soft material of some curtains bathing the room in light.
It only incased her in a golden aura and holy shit is Loki's mom the prettiest woman I have ever seen
I shook my head vigorously paling a little, I really need to learn not to zone out so much "no, no this is perfect I-thank you" I smiled nervously hoping it was enough to convince her I wasn't unhappy with it.
"It is no problem my dear, now if you will please excuse me I have something to attend to, it was a pleasure meeting you," she told me kindly and I smiled nodding "likewise" With that she turned on her heel descending back down the long hall.
I took slow and careful steps into the grand room fearful I would break or mess up something, with me being so clumsy one trip and I could break something worth more than dad's shop.
"It is not going to bite you, you can look around" Loki put in teasingly chuckling while leaning against the door frame while I turned my head to face him and narrowed my eyes playfully.
"well, this-" I paused holding up my arms and spinning in a circle signaling to the room "-is amazing!" I yelped with a large smile and his eyes sparkled with something I couldn't pinpoint
"Im glad you approve of it, though you should not put up such a fuss with mother, she implies that you have your freedom but really she does want things to go her way" he mentioned smugly.
I rolled my eyes and turned to look at a wardrobe "Your mom is- intimidating, well to me at least-" I paled and smacked my hand over my mouth "shit that was so rude I'm sorry-"
He rolled his eyes and took a few steps off from the wall shaking his head "you really do need to calm yourself you have been on edge since you entered the palace and I can assure you there is no good reason for it, you are not going to be judged here not by me at least"
