I must say it was quite the upgrade from Johns apartment living up above the cafe, not that I wasn't grateful for the shelter, anything was better than living out on the streets again,
But I was a maturing adult woman. Well "maturing" is a little bit of a stretch
But the small homely space seemed to grow smaller with time and cramped so though I was thankful for the space he'd provided me, I realize now that it wasn't quite enough.
With dad in mind, I made a mental note to check in on him as soon as possible to tell him how I've settled in! feeling a mini headache beginning to form I rolled onto my side and tugged the sheets up under my chin getting comfortable as I let out a quiet sigh and let the darkness embrace me.
-Tony Stark-
"well she's like any other guest, she can turn into a cat, sure, but she's still partly human" Natasha interrupted,
"We should report this to Fury" Clint replied an uneasy glance sliding to me while Natasha glared at him.
"and why would we do that? she's not a threat, Barton, did you see how timid she was? I've dealt with people that have the same emotional struggles, I know for sure that she hasn't got a bad bone in her body!" She snapped.
"I can agree with that, she could make an asset to joining our team, with training and time" I said with a shrug. "What would she do?" Clint asked his brow furrowing, "we could get her to the training room and test her abilities? I'm sure we could teach her something and her cat to human changing abilities could come in handy" Capsicle chimed.
"She's not going to Fury" Loki's voice startled the group, he walked out from behind the counter appearing practically out of nowhere on the 76'th floor of the tower, a good meeting place for the team.
Clint scowled at him as per usual, of course I didn't blame him, Loki was beyond something to despise, no one really enjoyed his presence in the tower so casually walking around as though he were higher and Better than anyone else.
But of course that was just his inflated ego,
"Oh, of course, you would be the one to protest on that, what? you think whatever you say goes? this isn't Assgard" Clint snarled as he rolled his eyes and crossed his arms huffing,
"You truly believe that? let I remind you how easy it was to turn your pathetic self against your team and I can very well do it again" Loki seethed narrowing his emerald eyes dangerously on the archer.
I clenched my jaw and stared at him hard, I knew he couldn't and his threat hung empty but it was still uncomfortable to hear from him, no one was pleased with what he had done in the past. I didn't think he would be either seeming as he failed his objective to rule over us,
but he took pleasure in berating us for nearly failing and allowing him to get so close to the point of destroying most of the city.
But he seemed adamant on not letting Fury even remotely close to Sparrow that peaked my interest,
was it not the other day that he despised her and couldn't stand the sight of the small cat? Now it seemed as though he was ready to protect her, because if he wasn't why would he bother protesting against the idea so adamantly?
After a bit more bickering between the two I decided to step in understanding it was going nowhere,
"Alright reindeer games, calm down we need to tell Fury about her at some point" I confessed and he avoided looking at me clearly taking displeasure in the idea, well not idea, more like a plan.
