"Does watching me sleep entertain you?" Mason drawled with a husky voice as his eyes darted between Kyle and Tobias for answers.

" you've been in deep slumber forever. It's already night," Kyle snapped, pulling the blankets off Mason's bed.

"Is that so," Mason said, not amused. He stretched his hands over his head and let out a yawn, mouth wide open, "I couldn't sleep last night. I only slept this morning."

"I told you... He's totally fine," Tobias said cheerfully. Steve left the room soon as he found that there was no issue. Mason didn't pay attention to his dad because he was so excited to tell Kyle about his dreams. He was improving, but first, he was starving, and supper by Jo's seemed good. So they grabbed a cab.

Mason kept staring outside the window, keeping his fear at bay. For some reason, he feared cars or riding in them. What? A lot of people die in car crashes. When the cab stopped, Mason was relieved to jump out as Kyle paid the driver. He let out a heavy sigh like he just dodged death. Jo's was crowded not for the food but little shops surrounding it. They ordered the usual, foot-long subs.

Stars were revealed as the night fell. Staring into space, Mason wondered, "what if the stars we see aren't stars but holes in a container made so that we could breathe?"

Stuck in his phone, Kyle never heard Mason's question, but Tobias did. He looked up with Mason wanting to say something. "I defeated the Kraken in my dream!" Mason blurted.

"No way!" Tobias laughed, banging the table, pushing his previous thoughts down.

" Tobi! we at a restaurant, look how they're eyeing your erratic behavior," Kyle snapped, placing his phone down and finally joining in on the conversation.

"I'm sure they don't mind in this run-down place, " Tobias teased, a bit too loud.

"I mind, " Kyle replied as a plastic cup was thrown at Tobias.

"hey," Tobias cried indignantly while holding his head, dramatically acting as if a brick were thrown to his head, which the owner wished he threw instead.

"Ve mind too, this is our run down restaurant!" Jo, the owner barked.

" Now look what you've done," Kyle said as he face-palmed himself. Everyone knows that you should never make anyone that deals with your food angry.

"Oh, ve are not angry," Jo evilly grinned.

"Please don't compromise the scrumptious food that you always serve us. I'm sorry on behalf of Tobi," Kyle begged, not wanting to rate the hygiene of this place to zero.

The owner scornfully stared at Tobias before switching his gaze between Mason and Kyle. One was the famous Kyle Monroe, whose father could shut down Jo's lively hood at the snap of his fingers, and the other was Mason, who always supported him no matter what. He let out a heavy sigh, "fine, ve will not be petty."

The food was not compromised in any way, but there was no way of confirming it. Mason ate while continuing with the conversation as Tobias suspiciously stared at the foot-long roll, placing it back down. Already full by the gross thoughts he had.

"So you wanted to bring Freddy Kruger out. The same maniac that slaughters people in their dreams," Kyle steely said, " it makes sense now."

"What makes sense?" Mason asked curiously and a bit scared of the answer.

"Did you not watch A Nightmare On Elm Street, " Kyle questioned suspiciously.

"Uhm, yes I did. What are you getting at? " Mason inquired as he scratched the back of his head. Freddy was a bit funny.
