"What do you mean, ' where's Elle'? She was just in front of you. Goddammit!" Tobias roared as rage pulsed through his veins, mainly the one protruding on his forehead.

"She was just behind you, so what's your excuse," Mason deflected.

"Argh, you an idiot."

"Takes one to know one," Mason retorted.

"Shut up! Just look for her. The beast went that way. It probably has her, since she disappeared."

"It's a gorilla, by the way," Mason corrected.

"I DON'T GIVE A FUCK IF IT'S KING BLOODY KONG. JUST GET HER BACK SAFE! "

"Geez, someone's got their panties in a twist. It's just a dream. She's safe," Mason reassured.

"No, your dreams are different. Ee could get injured in here," Tobias explained, taking deep breaths. He needed to calm down, and Mason knew he was right, this was all his fault. He couldn't take that risk. He just had to save her, so he stormed into the direction of trouble, hoping to find Ellen unharmed.

The pyramid was far behind them as they walked through a forest of trees. Trees twist around each other as they stretch higher than skyscrapers, blocking all visible sunlight because of its protuberant size with vines hanging from the branches. The white mist slowly escaping the depts of the jungle, clinging to the trees and coiling around tree trunks.

Mason and Tobias walked with caution. The air was cold, damp, and oppressive, robbing their body of warmth. It was eerily silent but for sounds of the mushy grass and the snapping twigs that Mason trampled.  "Why don't you scream too and let the beast know we coming," Tobias scowled.

"You sure have a mouth for someone who is normally quiet," Mason muttered. When he got no reply, he was satisfied. " That's more like it," he smirked, turning to face Tobias but not finding him, just a thick fog that loomed around him.

"That idiot couldn't find a better time to get lost," Mason muttered under his breath. He stepped forward to inspect what happened but jerked back as something tugged his foot. Tiny plants were wrapping around his ankle, tugging at him. He lifted his foot again with more force this time, tearing his leg free. The weeds recoiled and slithered between the blades of grass, wrapping themselves around something bigger.

"Oh shit, that's Tobi," he acknowledged as he tore weed by weed. Tobias gasped for air when Mason ripped the last vines from his throat.

"I nearly died. What, were you having a wild date with these freakish plants?" Tobias shot, coughing harshly.

The strange plants came back, this time with many more weeds and thick vines. Slithering from all directions. Viciously wrapping itself around Mason and poor Tobias who just escaped death. "I bet you wishing you kept your mouth shut now, " Mason quipped.

"mmm ah mmm," Tobias mumbled, his voice muffled through the vines. Breathing became difficult as the vines tighten around Mason's ribcage.

Meanwhile...

Ellen's eyes shot open, her body paralysed, her mind racing, she just escaped from a crazy gorilla. The gorilla was an asshole, a jerk, and very horny. Ellen mentally threw up in her mind. The annoying beep of the ECG was constant, bringing her to now. She was in a hospital as a patient. This nightmare keeps getting better. There was a presence of an evil spirit watching her.

Ellen's mind shot with adrenalin, and the Beeping of the machine was eccentric. She read about this when she researched Mason's condition secretly. The article about sleep paralyses. It happens when your mind awakes before your body. She continued reading, and it lead to an out of body experience, which was totally off-topic from Mason's condition, but she continued, fascinated about the concept. Ellen practised daily, but she always failed, falling into a deep slumber, never coming to step 3, sleep paralyses.
