"I'm going to pretend you didn't see those confidential files, " Dr. Liz steely said, picking the files from the floor, motioning Kyle to move his ass off her seat.

"What's wrong with them?"Kyle asked politely, quickly hopping off the comfy seat, and crossed to the wooden one opposite the desk. Yep, still not as comfortable.

Her eyebrows furrowed, " I don't think you're that stupid, " Dr. Liz said, her tone harsh.

"What is Sunds?" he inquired. What was her problem, and why was she being a bitch.

"Sudden unexpected nocturnal death syndrome, " Dr. Liz calmly explained.

" What! So that means my family is going to die?"

"We are running tests," Dr. Liz reassured, not losing her composure.

As if that was true, he was sure they don't have a clue about what's going on. Death syndrome means definite death, "that's bullshit. You don't know what's wrong with them! " Kyle scoffed, leaning towards the table, his knee knocking the leg of the table, causing the picture frame to fall.

"We have advanced medical systems to make sure history doesn't repeat itself."

"Money isn't an issue, so save them," Kyle pleaded as he fixed the position of the frame to where he thought it was supposed to go, but dropping it clumsy again.

"Just leave that. I'll fix it," Liz said, annoyed. Perfectly adjusting her frame two inches left, fixing her eyes on her mother in the picture, "you said you know those guys that came in this morning?"

"Yes, kinda," Kyle admitted, but he bit his tongue, could he trust her? He probably could because of patient confidentiality.

"Who are they?" she questioned.

"Are they having signs of sunds?" Kyle inquired. Is it contagious, and did those two guys cause this?

"Possibly, what's your connection with them? "she asked, trying to pry into Kyle's head, connecting the dots. Who could possibly be the cause of this outbreak this time?

"Well, they tried to hurt Ellen, but Mason and Tobi fought back."

" Hm, interesting, " she said, intrigued while jotting something in her book.

"What's interesting?" Kyle coaxed. What did she write down? Was she investigating him? Shit, he said too much already.

"You can leave. I'll fill you in if there are any changes," Dr. Liz steely said, closing her files.

"We are not done, " Kyle insisted.

"Oh, yes, we are."

Liz and Kyle's head turned to the door when it was forced open, "Dr. Brooke! Sorry to disturb," the male nurse called, "but we need you, one of the patients woke up."

"That can't be right," she blurted out but remembered Kyle was in front of her, "ahem, I mean excellent news. Let me go and check."

Tobias's head was cracking with pain, he could have sworn he had a weird dream, but he couldn't remember the details.

Dr. Liz stormed into his room, pulling out her torch, checking how his eye reacts to light. "do you remember your name," she asked.

" Tobias," he answered, annoyed. He's head urging him to vomit.

"Do you recall why you here?" she questioned, testing him.

"Uhm..."Tobi paused, retracing his steps. Kyle joined, and his face brightened, that's right, they were going on a road trip. What happened after that? He looked out the window for answers but found Ellen lying in a hospital bed, and like a dam wall collapsing, all the incidents flooded his mind. "we were fighting two bad guys because they..."

"...What's wrong with her," Tobias urged, swiping his feet to the floor, taking his plugs off. The nurses grabbed him.

" I need you to calm down," the male nurse said.

"She doesn't look fine," He said, trying to break free.

"Sarah administer a sedative, " Dr. Liz instructed.

"Wait, let me talk to him, "Kyle interjected, stepping in front of Tobias. "Ray, buddy, it's okay. "

"But she's..."

"She'll be okay... she's just resting. See she's breathing, isn't she? There's not a scratch on her," Kyle pointed out with a soft smile. Tobi took a deep breath and let out a heavy sigh. The nurse came back with a sedative and was about to inject him, but Dr. Liz stopped her.

"I guess you're right. Dad is going to be real angry," Tobias said awkwardly scratching the back of his head.

Both Kyle and Tobias jumped in shocked when Ellen's monitor beeped frantically. The ECG went crazy, short-circuiting. Ellen jerked up, eyes wide, dusting herself like crazy, "get it off, get it off," She repeated as she ripped the plugs off, pulling the needles out. Tobias stared in shock. What was wrong with her?

She was about to shred her Hospital gown when two nurses grabbed her hands and legs, forcing her back down, "calm down, miss," the nurse said, but she didn't calm down.

"No, get it off, get the fucking things off of me!" she said, letting a blood-curdling scream. Dr. Liz grabbed the syringe from the nurse, injecting her. Ellen slowly stopped fighting, falling gently back into the bed, back to sleep.

"What the fuck was that!" Kyle growled.
