It didn't matter whether Tobi's eyes were open or closed. The pain kept getting worse. His eyes opened to slits trying to focus on the person sleeping on his legs. The light jabbed his eyes, his head pounding, his ribs bruised.

His vision cleared, finding Ellen resting peacefully beside him. He smiled gently as he brushed the hair off her face, slowly tucking it behind her ear. She smiled, still asleep. She was the love of his life, whether she loved him or not. Tobias's heart skipped a beat when he heard Mason snore. They were stuck in a private hospital just outside new york, so much for a road trip. "well, at least you safe now," he smirked.

Tobias's eyes were heavy like it weighed a ton, but he forced it back open, viewing nothing but white. "shit, I'm dead," he cursed as he strolled down the whiteness, trying to find heaven or hell. Wasn't there supposed to be a guide or something? He walked aimlessly until he bumped into something.

The wall blended perfectly with its surroundings. It had a silky touch even though it was solid. Tobias walked to the right, using the wall as leverage, leaning all his weight on it as he walked forward. Moments later he fell when part of the wall vanished. "I need to find my way out, maybe I can find my way back to Ellen," he muttered, getting back up to his feet.

Tobias wandered in this white maze for what felt like hours, he soon found a beautiful mirror in the wall. Its sides were white with gold engraving of some ancient language. IT was so long that it touched the ground.

Meanwhile...

At the gas station, two rowdy guys walked past Ellen, one of them spanked her as they went, whistling like wolves.

Tobias leaped out of the car, grabbing Ellen and shoving her back in. Slamming the door shut. Mason stared at this scene in front of his eyes. Didn't this happen already? "What you going to do?" the bald guy tempted.

Mason ran again to stop this, "nothing," he stuttered.

They laughed hysterically. "Why don't you gg gg gg goo to the fucking car with that little..." he mocked but before he could finish, Tobias smashed his hand into the bald guy's jaw, he stumbled back, catching himself before he could tumble to the ground but when another fist collided with his eye, the bald man no longer could keep his balance.

"Oh god, not again," Mason freaked out. What should he do, what could he do? He forced his brain for any rational answers. " Call the cops," he mused but remembered his nose getting smashed in. He glanced up, finding an angry face before a fist met his nose yet again. His eyes were blinded by tears as he stumbled to the ground failing to find balance.

When Mason's vision cleared. Ellen jumped out of the car. "Stop, please, I'm okay." She assured. Tobias smiled at her before he got hit on his head with a wooden baseball bat.

Tobias wasn't moving, Mason sat frozen again, his body refused to move. The guy helped his friend up while Ellen ran to Tobias, "wake up," she said with weak words. "no, leave me! " she screamed as the two guys now drag their prize away.
But no one stopped them this time.

A dark figure made of black smoke materialised, hovering over Tobi's corpse for a brief moment, studying the situation before he warped next to Mason. Shaking his head, he stared at Mason with curiosity. "Are you going to let them get away with this?" He questioned his voice doubled over each other, sounding a bit strange.

"What is it to you? " Mason scoffed as he began to break free from the paralysis.

"Oh, nothing, but I'd like us to be friends."

"Screw you," Mason retorted as he got up and rushed to save Ellen. He found her lying on the grass, her clothes ripped, her body exposed, weeping while in a fetal position, cradling her head in her arms.
