PIERRE PALMER
"Good morning baby." Priya kissed my back as she brushed past me to get to her sink, I glanced over at her and bit my lip as I took in her breathtaking beauty. Without a doubt, I knew from the beginning that my wife was beautiful, I never took that away from her but after last night, it was as if all of that enhanced. Priya transformed into the woman I had always wanted her to be in bed, almost instantly and that one missing piece quickly found its way where it belonged. I had not a desire for anything else but her and to think, her loosening up was all I needed.
"Good morning beautiful." I responded meanwhile getting up behind her and kissing on both her shoulders. "How you feeling this morning?"
"Sore, very sore." She smirked, looking up at me through the mirror.
"As I'd expect." I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her as close as we could possibly be. "Thank you, for everything last night. I know it took you out of your comfort zone, but it really showed me that you're willing to do whatever to keep me happy. I appreciate it, honestly." I kissed her neck ever so softly then pulled away. "I love you baby."
"I love you too."
I walked over to the sink I was at, picking up my toothbrush. "I never got to ask you, how did you little meeting go?"
"Oh... um, it was alright." She shrugged.
"Just alright? You spent hours there, I saw you beaming when you got to the car so I can only assume that it went better than ever."
"It did," she nodded still seeming very hesitant.
"But..."
"But I don't think working with him is the best thing for me."
"What did he do?' my brows furrowed, and jaw clenched.
"Nothing, nothing. He didn't do anything at all, it's just that he knows me from Hillcrest, we have a bit of a childhood history. The last thing I need is to hire someone that thinks they can slack because they know me."
"Hmm," I hummed, I knew I had nothing to worry about. "I get you."
"Yeah, I'd rather just hire someone that I know will be serious about their job. Especially since I'll be juggling both businesses and hopefully a baby." She grinned. "I need to make sure I have someone there that I know will take my dream as serious as I do. Egypt had some amazing ideas though that I know I wouldn't have been able to think up myself, so I plan to just write up a contract and pay him off for it. Give him the start up to possibly do his own thing."
"I get what you're saying, I really do... but I just feel like giving him the means to do so will create unnecessary competition. Just think about it; if he was able to give you all those ideas, there is no telling what he'll be able to think up for his own self. As much as your decision does make a lot of sense you gotta think from a boss' mindset. Have him possibly sign a non-compete contract, give him a nice little advance bonus and enough of a title to make him know that you're investing a lot into him. I think giving him some form of accountability will clear up all that doubt."
"... I never thought about it that way, but it's far too late... I already told him no and you know how my pride's set up."
"Which is I should always be there to help you make decisions like that." I smiled, "and speaking of... the business. I've decided that you deserve sometime to focus solely on your restaurant. I saw how happy it made you yesterday which is something I haven't seen in a while. Now that we have Alexis on the team, I think it's only fair that I allow you that break you need to work."
