( Spring 2021)

It has been a year since Hailee released her first album, 'Survivor'. It is now the night of the Grammy's. Hailee is up for best album. (I don't know when the Grammy's are held so don't hate if this doesn't match up.)

Best album was the last award to be presented. The 24 year old was getting anxious as the show went on. Finally, it was time. Taylor Swift would be presenting the award.

"Hi everyone! How are you guys doing? I am so happy to be presenting my favorite award at one of my favorite award shows. Here are you nominees."

A small slide show was shown. People cheered in the audience. Hailee's album got the most applause out of them all.

"I am excited to announce that the winner is.... my friend, Hailee Steinfeld! Survivor."

Hailee got up and started to hug her parents. Shawn kissed her on the lips and then she made her way up to the stage. Taylor hugged Hailee and whispered something to her in her ear. Then, Hailee made her speech.

"Wow. This is so surreal. I wrote the lyrics for the songs on this album out of love, pain, happiness, and so many other emotions. Majority of these songs were about the summer of 2018. My brother had died, I was accused of bribery, and I was dying. Speaking about all the emotions that I was feeling at that time was too hard so, I wrote them down in poems which became these lyrics. After that summer, I healed a lot and I am the happiest I have ever been. This album was made to remind people that things happen for a reason. They may not seem like the best thing at that moment but I often find myself thinking how grateful I am for all the hardships I have endured. So if you are going through something right now, take a step back and laugh. Maybe you've hit a low right now but remember that a high is coming soon. You just gotta keep holding on. Thank you."

Hailee was now at the Grammys after party. Her and Shawn had gone as a couple. It had been a little while since they had gotten there. Shawn took Hailee out on the balcony to see the view. The couple was near the railing. Most of the city's lights were on now, illuminating the sky. It was almost the most beautiful view Shawn had seen. The most beautiful view in the world to him was Hailee.

"Wow. This is breath taking." Hailee said in awe.

"Not as much as you are." Shawn replied. He kissed her cheek. Hailee chuckled.

Shawn always found a way to compliment her.

"I never got to thank you on stage but I want to thank you now. Thank you for helping me through everything and always supporting me. I can't express how much you mean to me in words. You've alway been there for me since day 1 and I know that you'll always be here for me. I love you, Shawn."

"Hailee, you are my everything and there isn't anything I wouldn't do to make you feel happy and safe. And I promise that I'll be there for you ever single day in the future. I will always keep my promise because..." Shawn lowered on one knee. A ring was in his extended hand. "Hailee, will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?"

All of Shawn's and Hailee's friends had been on the balcony since Shawn took Hailee up there. Shawn told them that he was going to propose on the balcony that night. All of them were eagerly watching the two now.

"I'd be happy to."

With that, Shawn carefully put the ring on Hailee's finger. They shared a kiss afterwards.

March 2022. (A year later):

It was the day of the wedding. Shawn and Hailee were now 25. They decided to have a mountain themed wedding. Everyone flew to New Zealand for the ceremony.

The ceremony was on the side of a mountain. The location was still pretty high up. When you looked out, you could see the other mountains in the distance and a lake below. There were also some low clouds near the distant mountains. It was a sunny day. It wasn't too cold but it wasn't hot. The chairs were facing toward the beautiful landscape. The bridesmaids were in dark royal blue dresses.

The music started to play. Shawn anxiously waited at the front of the aisle for his bride. Then, he saw her. Her hair was half up and half down. Two big strands of hair were twisted and then pinned to the back of her head. The rest of her hair was curled. It made her highlights more profound. Her makeup was very natural. Shawn liked it that way. He didn't think she needed any makeup.

Pete walked Hailee up to the front of the aisle. Then he went to sit down. The marriage officiant began to speak. Hailee and Shawn then exchanged vows.

Hailee: "Shawn, you've been my best friend since day one. Now you are going to be my husband too. I can't express how excited I am to spend the rest of my life with you. Everything I do will always be to help you be happy. Everything I do will be out of my unconditional love for you. You always knew how to make me laugh when I was sad or what I needed when I was sick. I will be there to do those things for you too. I love you.

Shawn: "Hailee, when I look at you, all of my fears and sadness disappear. I love how comfortable you are around me. You always make me laugh without trying. You think about me before you think about yourself. You are my true soul mate. Even though you have known me since we were babies, you are always so interested in what I have to say about me. You are so supportive and caring and I can't wait to have that love and support for the rest of my life. I love you Hailee."

The marriage officiant said a few more words. Finally, Shawn and Hailee kissed. It was a passionate kiss that they would remember forever.
