"Fuck." I said trying to get Kardi to answer the phone, only to be sent to voicemail.
I walked back into the shop thinking about what the hell just went down. Never would I have expected something like that to come out of her mouth. My woman being raped and her child was a product of that. That alone right there hurts me knowing somebody took advantage of her.
I don't think I was wrong for how I approached her but It was wrong for me to do it in the shop knowing people are nosey and I didn't want muthafuckas in our business maybe that's why she snapped like that.
"Sooooo." Mike said I guess trying to break the awkward silence.
"She ain't picking up the phone." I said taking a seat on the couch.
"Okay, then why the hell are you still here?" Sky asked.
"What am I suppose to do then?"
"Go after her. Both of y'all need to apologize to each other and work it out. I can tell she loves you too much to let this one argument break y'all up and you feel the same." Sky pointed out and I didn't even deny it because I know it's true.
"Alright, I'm about to head over there. Can you lock up for me?" I asked Speed.
"I got you. Just go get ya shawty." I nodded jogging to my car speeding off. I pulled up to her crib in less than twenty minutes. I used the key she gave me to get inside.
"Shit, it's cold as fuck in here." I mumbled to myself going to cut on the heat then walked to her room. I leaned against the door to see her in a deep sleep. She must be sleeping well if she didn't hear me come in. I guess I'll wait until tomorrow. I took off my clothes leaving me in my boxers getting in the bed cuddling up next to her dozing off.
Feeling someone pull on my beard. I opened my eyes to see Kody standing over me.
"What's up, little man?" I wiped my face sitting up.
"I need help." He said quietly pulling on my arms signaling for me to get up. I looked at the clock and it was three in the morning. Following him to his room, he pointed to his bed.
"I peed in the bed from the bad dream." He looked down at his feet.
"The bad dream?"
"Bad man was hurting mommy." I nodded my head taking his covers off the bed going to put them in the washers then tried to find the extra bed set but couldn't. I went into the bathroom starting him a bath.
"You want me to help you or you can do it?"
He smiled lightly "I can do it myself, I'm a big boy."
"Okay, let me know when you're done." He nodded. I walked in the kitchen going to the fridge grabbing one of Kardi's yogurts. These are bomb and she might be mad at me but oh well. Ten minutes later Kody came skipping in the kitchen.
