Title: Are You Still Awake

"Goodnight, girls." Amanda whispered to her seven and one year old before turning out the lights for the night. If was her first night being home in a while. Work has been busy than ever the past month, and she was happy to be at home with the girls for once, but she still wasn't relaxed.

Dominick Carisi has certainly been on her mind ever since the big fight. She didn't mean for it to go that far which was literally to the point where she almost confessed her love to him in front of the whole squadroom, thank God that Olivia ended. She felt guilty for starting the whole fight when they were all stressed, but she couldn't help that she was more lonely than ever now that he wasn't around.

I placed my phone on the coffee table after texting Olivia to plan the kids next sleep over because let's be honest, after yesterday I needed a girl to girl chat. I bundled up in my favorite seat in the middle of my couch, and brought a can of root beer soda to my lips. Times have gotten harder, and everyday it gets tougher for me not to think about drinking, but I also tell myself. As long as I kept my girls in mind, my sorrows will be drowned in non-alcoholic beverages instead. I decided to turn the television on, and find something that would keep my mind occupied. I glided through all of my channels when all there was airing were cooking shows, romance movies, and dateline files. While being off work, I just couldn't even look at old crimes, and how they were solved at the moment.

I turned off the television, and laid my head back. My mind was filled with images...of him. "Carisi.." I whispered as if he would appear at any minute now, but instead I got a ding from my phone. I grabbed my phone thinking that it was Olivia who sent me a text of the plans. Turning my iPhone on, I was struck with a wave of nervousness. It was a text from Dominick Carisi.

I didn't know what to say or even think while I typed my password in. I hesitantly opened the message, and immediately felt my heartbeat race. I couldn't help but read it over two more times.

SonnyD: Are you still awake?

My palms were sweating, and I didn't know what to say. I don't think I could look him in the eyes after what I did, why did I have to open my big mouth. I pulled myself together since he already knew I looked at the message. It was now or never to fix this, I needed to fix this. I slid my keyboard up to reply.

Me: Yep, everything okay?

I sighed as I waited for a reply which didn't take long since he was typing. I was now worried, what if something happened.

SonnyD: No.
SonnyD: We need to talk. Is it okay if I come over?

He was always the gentleman, no matter what the situation was, that's what I mostly loved about him.

Me: Of course, Sonny.

SonnyD: Great because I'm already outside.😋😁 Omw up, buzz me in.

Me: Kmsl okay

I ran and pushed the button by the door, and patiently waited. I nervously fiddled with my fingers while sitting on the arm of the couch. Three minutes of looking at the floor there was a soft knock at the door, I waited for a second before tip toeing over to open it. Glaring through peephole trying my best to avoid the bright light, but all I got was an eyefull of him looking into the peephole himself. I giggled a little before unlocking the door to reveal Dominick Carisi in his full night time glory. "Hey you."
