I look in the mirror and I see my image. It's there, it's always there, but still, I feel invisible. I am invisible. I walk around without being seen, I go unnoticed even inside my own house. I am not the prettiest daughter nor the smartest. The first one is my older sister, Venus; the latter, Star, the youngest of us three. I'm in the middle, the average girl, living in their shadows.

I'm Sky, by the way. It sounds ironic, doesn't it? I mean, stars and planets are hanging in the sky, they need it. But it actually makes perfect sense. Stars are bright and Venus is a beautiful planet, they are complete by themselves. Me? I'm just a dark, huge nothingness without them; an infinite void.

Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. When you don't exactly excel in life, things can be easier, people don't expect much from you. But well, I do excel in something, I am a very good writer. I love writing more than anything in the world. I don't like sharing my work, though. That's where being invisible comes in handy.

I spend hours locked in my room, writing, reading, listening to music, and no one seems to miss me. I enjoy my solitude, sometimes is nice being an empty sky. But everything has its cons. Mine used to be being invisible to Jake Kiszka. I'm not anymore, but that doesn't make things better, because he only sees me now because of Venus, whose shadow I live in. Venus, my older sister, mom's favorite and now, Jake's girlfriend
