*A/n I know I said that it was over, but I feel like I cheated you, that it didn't get enough closure. So here's the real ending*

For months Linda and I casually dated, each and every time I wanted to kiss her. But I didn't, until one fateful date.....
I had picked up Linda, and could tell something was off right away. She was too quiet. "Why so quiet?" I asked as we ate our dinner.
She shrugged, "just tired, I guess. I'm sorry I'm not very good company tonight—"
"No, it's okay." I interrupted her. By the time of her voice, I could tell something was wrong, but I didn't want to necessarily push her to tell me. I watched her, a painful expression slowly creeping onto her beautiful features. When I saw tears fall, I knew something was up, ""Linda, are you okay?" I wondered with a concern filled voice.
Linda nodded, then shook her head, "Excuse me..." She was barely able to say as she left the table.
I sat for just a moment, wondering what had happened. Then it dawned on me. She was on her period. Now, this could be good or bad. I could be super nice and gentle and not kiss her, and she'd take that the way it was supposed to be- caring and concern for a potential girlfriend. Or, she could take it the wrong way, in which case she'd never wanna see me again.
I grabbed her coat and walked outside, where the cool air was nippy. "Linda, are you okay?" I wondered, draping her coat over her shoulders. "What happened?"
Linda nodded, then shook her head. "I'm sorry. Could you please take me home?" Her voice was soft and weak. Man, I never wanted to hear her sound like that.
"Yeah, of course." I opened the car door for her, which I think made her cry even more.
"Do you need anything? Like a.... pain killer or.... chocolate something?" I looked at her, thinking I knew what she needed.
She smiled a little bit, "no thank you."
"Okay..."

I walked her into to her apartment building, and we rode the elevator in silence.
When we got to her door, she looked to the floor, "I'm sorry." She whispered, "I-"
Linda stopped, because I pushed her hair behind her ear. I really hoped she didn't take it the wrong way. "It's okay. I think I know why you're crying."
"You do?" She looked at me, her expression unreadable.
"Mmhmm. You could've just said you weren't feeling good."
"I really wanted to be with you, though." She blushed, apparently that was t supposed to come out.
"I wanted to be with you, too," I pushed the hair that had fallen into her face behind her ear again. With my thumb, I brushed her tears off her left cheek.
I looked into her vibrant blue eyes, searching for a warning signal. Not seeing one, I slowly pulled Linda's head towards me. I wasn't thinking anymore, I let my heart take over. I closed my eyes slowly, and felt my lips touch hers. I stroked her hair and she put her arm around me. The other one she tucked close to her chest, thereby resting on my chest. I held her close in my arms, hoping to make her feel good about herself.
We slowly parted, our foreheads rested together. I closed my eyes, it was our first kiss. And I felt so much love from it.
Linda sighed, "I love you." Her eyes went wide and she backed away a little. She looked at me, completely horrified.
But I just smiled, and whispered, "I love you, too."
A smile spread on her tear-streaked face, "Really?"
"Yeah, I really do." I kissed her again, and the rest, as they say, is history.

About two years later....
It was Sunday dinner at my dad's house, as usual. I looked around the table with a smile on my face. Tonight there was a new edition to the table. I looked over to my right, and smiled at the beautiful lady sitting next to me. I grabbed her hand and ran a finger over her new, shiny diamond ring. I kissed her hand, "I love you, Soon-to-be-Linda Reagan."
She smiled and kissed my cheek, "I love you, too, Danny Reagan."
