A year later, and I'm having yet another late night in the office. But this time, I had to stay up. I need to finish the paperwork needed for our products to be sold in Walgreens everywhere and fax it over while also respond to the mass amount of emails I got in the past twelve hours-- most of which are relating to the smaller portion of my company and their products. Honestly, it wasn't a lot but with the way I procrastinate and how my thoughts wander from time to time, it seemed like a lot and it would most definitely take a little longer than it should.
So here I am, in my office, way after hours, typing as fast as I can while being fueled by three cans of Red Bull-- I'll never forget my roots-- and trying to stray from any mistakes as I don't want to be taken as a fool. I knew there were people still here cleaning because of what Xing told me the last time I was here late. I could hear the vacuums coming closer and closer to my office but I didn't pay much attention to it. My mind and the Red Bull wouldn't let me.
The door to my office opened and I barely looked up at the door before turning back to my computer, keeping my eyes glued on the screen as I typed. "Ms. Bili, what you still doing here?" I heard a familiar voice ask. And when I looked up, I saw Xing standing in the doorway with the usual trash can and vacuum behind him.
"Working tiredly," I answered honestly before turning back to the computer and typing. "I won't be in your way long. Just let me finish this email and then I'll head over to the printer room and fax these papers over."
"You not in way. Is it okay for me vacuum?" Xing asked. I nodded as I continued to type. He walked around my office, grabbing the trash quietly then proceeded to vacuum all while I stayed attentive to the screen.
As he moved around my office, I caught a whiff of his cologne, making me look up at him. He wasn't paying attention to me, and I don't blame him. He was focusing on his work, much like I should be doing. "What are you wearing?" Xing turned to face me, his face twisted in confusion.
"My uniform. Manager said I have wear this." I smiled, shaking my head, pushing away from my desk slightly.
"No, your cologne." I reiterated. "It smells really good." He smiled.
"Oh, it your line." I raised my eyebrow.
"Are you serious?" I asked. Xing nodded, grinning. "Well, I really love it on you." I admitted. "It suits you well."
"Thank you Ms. Bili. I also love smile on you. Makes you even more beautiful." I felt heat rush to not only my cheeks but to my core. I never had a man compliment me so much other than men who wanted to get into my pants- well, skirts. All these compliments Xing has been passing my way has made feel so many different things, I liked it so much, a lot more than I would like to admit.
"Thank you, Xing." He nodded before clearing his throat then proceeding to clean my office. Once he was done, he turned back to me and shifted a couple of times. I looked up at him confused.
