I was laying on the couch in my living room when I heard the front door open. "I brought wine." I heard Kandi shout as she walked down the corridor to get into the living room. In her hands, she had a bottle of wine, ice cream, and a cake. The classic breakup meals that you see all the women eating in movies and here I am for the first time experiencing it.

"Yay," I said monotonously before looking back at the tv. Kandi grumbled something under her breath before sitting the things she had on the table and stared at me silently. I ignored her gaze for a minute, until she cleared her throat. When I looked over at her, I raised my eyebrow. "Can I help you with something?" I asked.

"You're not crying." She muttered. I shrugged, turning back to the tv.

"I'm real ass bitch." I commented without much thought or care. Kandi sighed, sitting down next to me then putting her head on my shoulder gently, watching the movie I had playing before she entered.

"You wanna talk about it?" She asked gently. I shook my head, gulping to fight back the tears aching to come out. "I'm always here, Bili. I'm always going to be here. Whenever you need me. You know that right?" I nodded as a stubborn tear rolled down my cheek but I quickly wiped it away.

Sniffling, I leaned my head against Kandi's and closed my eyes, not caring about the movie anymore, no matter how much I loved it.

It took me a matter of an hour to finally let my tears fall freely and Kandi was there to catch them and to console me. Kandi has been the only consistent part of my life and has never turned her back on me, no matter how much stress I put her through or stress we go through together.

I know I have issues, and the people I let in know it too, but every single person — besides Kandi— turned their back on me and left me to suffer in silence. But a person can only take so much. And I was at a tipping point.

"What can I do to better myself?" I asked.

I could feel Kandi's eyes on me but they weren't being judgmental. They were soft and kind just like a concerned friend would look at a hurting one. "What do you mean?" She asked.

"Even after all of this, I just want to fuck something. And I'm convinced something is wrong with me." I muttered, looking over at Kandi finally. I watched as her eyes softened and her smile dropped.

"Babygirl, there's nothing wrong with you." I shook my head, moving away from her.

"There is. No one wants to be with me and the ones that do, is fucking insane."

"What happened between you two?" She asked.

Sniffling, I blinked back some more tears. "He's leaving and he's not even trying to help the situation. I tried to think of so many ways to get him to stay and he isn't trying." Kandi stayed silent, so I continued. "I love him. I do, I never fucking loved anyone the way I love him and he's just giving up on me, on us like it was fucking nothing. I admitted things to him that I only ever told you. I'm tired of being BooBoo the damn fool. I'm tired of everything and life not being fair to me. What the fuck did I ever do to deserve this bullshit to keep happening to me?"

Kandi pulled me into a hug as I sobbed, rubbing my back soothingly and whispering words of encouragement and admiration into my ear. When I calmed down some, Kandi kissed my forehead.

"If you feel like this, why don't you say something to him before he leaves? Tell him how much you love him."

"I did, Kandi. I told him last night and I even tried to tell him this morning but he left. He left without saying goodbye officially. It's so many signs that I missed that I should have noticed. He came back with less stuff that he left with." I chuckled dryly, sniffling. "He used me. Got what he fucking wanted then left me like I'm the trash that I am."

"You aren't trash, Bili." Kandi said, her eyes watching me, as if she knew what I was going to do next.

"I want help." I whispered, changing the subject slightly. "I don't want to do what I really want to do because I know it will only hurt me more so I'm asking you — pleading you— help me." More tears slid down my face. "Please," Kandi nodded, standing up.

"I know some places where we can go."

It took Kandi an hour to get to the center and when we pulled up, I stared at the building for a second then turned to my friend. "You ready?" She asked. I turned to face the building again, trying to shake the nerves fluttering in my stomach.

"No, but I need to do this for myself." I whispered. She nodded. "Can you take care of the company while I'm gone?" I asked.

"Uh, yeah. I'll figure something out." She said hesitantly. "I love you, Bili. Never forget that." I smiled, nodding slightly.

"I love you too. And please, whatever you do, please don't turn your back on me. I can't take much more heartbreak ever again." I pleaded. I watched Kandi's eyes well up in tears.

"I would never do that to you. I love you, Bili." She cried.

"Xing said the same thing and left me the next day, so there's that." I said, tears strolling down my face as well.

"You never turned your back on me and I will never do that to you." Kandi told me, her voice shaking with every word. "I will always be around to answer phone calls if you want to speak. I'll visit you once a week. More if you want me to, I'm here for you, Bili. Always here." I nodded again before pulling her into a hug, crying on her shoulder again. We ended up crying together, holding each other like our lives depended on it. But we wouldn't have it any other way.
