Saturday had come so slowly that Jungkook had forgotten he was helping Jimin with Chemistry. So when Jimin rang the doorbell, while Jungkook was helping Namjoon on patrol, Jungkook full on panicked.

"Hyung," he said to Namjoon, attempting to keep calm. "There's a shooting—"

"I know, I see it!"

Praying that Namjoon would be fine without him, Jungkook shut off the computers and rushed downstairs. If anything were to happen to Namjoon, a spike in vitals or anything at all, Jungkook's watch would beep.

Jungkook threw the door open and was met with the sight of Jimin, who looked surprised. "You okay, Kook?"

Jungkook fixed his glasses and nodded. "Never better. Ready for Chemistry?"

-

Jungkook had only just gotten Jimin settled downstairs when his watch beeped.

Jimin looked up from his chemistry. "What's that?"

"Uh, that's, uhhhh..." Jungkook tried to come up with something to say. "Banana — muffins? Banana muffins. I'm — I'm baking. Yeah. Gotta go check on them. I'll be back."

Jungkook scurried away before Jimin could say another word. He dashed up the stairs as quickly and quietly as possible, slipping into his bedroom.

Switching the mic on, Jungkook whispered, "Hyung?"

"The shooter brought back-up," Namjoon grunted. "And I'm pretty sure this dude has a knife hidden in his sock."

"You need help?"

"Not yet."

Jungkook took this as indirect permission to go back downstairs. He rushed back down to help Jimin, only to have his watch beep again a few minutes later. Jimin gave him a bewildered look.

"MufFINS!" Jungkook said, his voice cracking. He rushed back upstairs, his watch continuously beeping.

"Crap, crap, crap!!" Jungkook slapped a hand over his watch and threw the bedroom door open, only to find that Namjoon was already in the room. His abdomen was bleeding.

"Hyung—!"

"The knife only grazed me, don't worry."

"That doesn't look like—"

The door opened, and Jungkook recognized Jimin's voice, saying, "Jungkook, I don't know what's going on, but—"

Jungkook pounced for the door, closing it before Jimin could come inside.

"NO! Don't come in!" He yelled.

"Why didn't you tell me Jimin was here?" Namjoon hissed, pressing a hand to his wound.

"What?" Jimin asked from the other side of the door. "Why can't I come in?"

"I, uh, I'm... naked," Jungkook improvised. Namjoon face palmed.

"Why on earth—?"

"Just gimme a sec!" Turning to Namjoon, Jungkook whispered, "Fly up and lay flat against the roof. I'll get him out of here as fast as I can."

Namjoon, wincing, flew up and positioned himself so his back was pressed against the ceiling. It was an odd sight. Jungkook, satisfied with it, fixed his askew glasses and opened the door.

Jimin made his way in, frowning. He looked around, missing the blood on the floor from where Namjoon was previously standing.

"Look, Kook," he said, "I don't know what's going on with you, but it's obvious that you aren't cooking banana muffins. Why—"
