Insecure.

3rd POV

Taehyung father, Kim Minji is a famous lawyer. He represent many celebrity, even his wife and he owns a small company, Kim Associates. He and his young apprentice who happens to be his nephew and Taehyung's cousin, Kim Namjoon run the company and Namjoon is in charge, when he is not around. He only handles big cases, usually anything related to his wife, other than that, Namjoon handles most of the cases. So having a lawyer as a father is really convenient for Taehyung.

Taehyung just laid on his bed, in his room. He hasnt been here for almost a year already. After telling his parents about the divorce, there was a silent moment between the three of them. Nobody speaks up and nobody said a word, until his father broke the silence. "I'll call Namjoon and we'll get to it.." he promise his son that he wont ask whats going on, and he also promised that whatever it is that Taehyung wants him to do, he'll do it. He gets up from his seat to make a phone call to Namjoon in private.

Taehyung then excuse himself from his mother to went up to his room to rest. He has no energy to cry. He already made up his mind, so has to go through with it. He has to be strong. He even skipped dinner and just locked himself in his room. He knew that he is making his parents worry but he need some time alone.

After resting for a while, he decided to speak to his parents, so he went to their room. He knocked then his mother gave permission to enter to whoever was knocking on their door, she weren't expecting to see Taehyung but she's glad, At least he was out from his room.

"Hey baby, are you hungry? I could re-heat the food if you want" his mother ask him in a soft voice. She knew, that her son is in a fragile state right now. Taehyung shook his head and went inside. Taehyung sat on the bed, facing his mother who is putting some cream onto her face. Once a celebrity, always a celebrity. She still takes care of her skin. She stopped what she's doing and turn to face Taehyung, but still sitting on her chair.

She noticed it when she first sees her son after such a long time. Taehyung is a thinner and he looks sort of tired. Puffy eyes and eye bag, and of course, the most obvious, the bandage on his right arm. There's so many things that she wanted to ask Taehyung but she had to wait for Taehyung to tell her, but seeing how Taehyung is just silent and not saying a word, she has to ask.

"Tae baby? Will you talk to me? Im not used to seeing you like this...." she said.

Where should he start? Even he himself doesn't even know where to start, all he know is, he wants to save Jungkook, from his selfishness. But soon, Taehyung speaks. He tells his mother everything. About Jungkook and Lisa, about the rumor he heard, the feeling he felt when he sees them together with the little girl. He tells her everything..everything that was bottled up inside his chest.

He didn't know about Jungkook's and Lisa's secret, he just assume that they like each other and he is in the way of Jungkook's happiness. Because he loves Jungkook too much, he's willing to let him go. His mother didn't say anything, he just listen to his son, telling her everything. She understood now why Taehyung ask for the divorce. She should've seen this coming, Taehyung is insecure, he is scared.

"Omma, when i told you that i was gay all those years ago, were you disappointed in me?" He ask, looking down to his hand that is on his lap. Not daring look in his mother's eyes. He wants the truth from his mother, but he is scared finding it, in her eyes.

"Im sorry that i turn out like this....I'm sorry that i turn out to be such a disappointment for you and Appa...im sorry if i embarrassed you or hurt you with my marriage with Jungkook..." he said and he started to cry. The son of  Kim Minji and Park Taehee turns out to be gay, and actually marry a guy. He's scared that it may affect both of his parents.

"Awhh baby bear, never once i thought of you as a disappointment.. we raised you to be true to who you are and that's exactly who you turn out to be. If anything i am proud of the man you've become.." his mother drag the chair and positioned it right in front of Taehyung. She wiped the tears from his eyes and hold his hand.

"I was sad when you told me that you were gay and i was worried that you will face hardship in the future, but i was glad you found Jungkook, the man who accept you for who you are... baby what if its just a misunderstanding? What if there is more to the story? Cant you listen to what Jungkook has to say?" His mother finally said it, but its the truth, she's worried that Taehyung only misunderstood things.

"Even if it is a misunderstanding, it doesn't change anything.. even if he is not cheating on me with Lisa, they made me understand..they made me realize, that all this time i've been selfish..i only thought of my own happiness...i was young and in love when Jungkook propose to me 3 years ago..i didn't think far ahead...i was just so happy that i didn't think.....what if Jungkook want kids? What if Jungkook need to bring his spouse to some work event and his spouse turns out to be a man? What if his marriage with me will affect his career? What if i cant give Jungkook what he wants? What if my love for him cause him pain and sadness? Im scared, Omma...I'm scared that i will ended up hurting Jungkook..." Taehyung said between his tears.

"Im trying to protect him from me....i cant hold his hand in public without damaging his reputation but she can...she can do everything.....everything that i cant..." He continue, tears still streaming from his cheek. 

Taehyung is scared, he is insecure. He know that his marriage with Jungkook is not exactly well known by others as both he and Jungkook wanted to keep it low-key, therefor, only a handful of people know him, as Jungkook's husband and vice versa, which explain why whenever he went to Jungkook's company, none of the workers recognize him.

Seeing Jungkook with Lisa made him realize just how small he really is compare to her. Attractive long hair, cute and fashionista. Jungkook smile easily when she's around, there's one time when Jungkook laughed at what she said. The both of them, look so perfect together, that he cant be mad. So he can only be mad at himself.

He loves Jungkook, but he wants Jungkook to have a life he deserve. He want to see Jungkook successful, with a normal family and have kids. He want Jungkook to be happy, even if his happiness mean that he'll no longer be with him.

Even if Jungkook's happiness cost him his own. He's willing to kill his feelings..for Jungkook.
