"You must be joking right?" that's not the reply I'd expected from Chase when I told him I was breaking up with him. "You can't just break up an engagement for no reason, Bella"

"Not loving you anymore is enough reason, Chase" I said.

"Bella, please don't do this now" he pleaded. "Look, let's get off the plane first and we'll talk about this, okay?" he was right. Although we were riding in First Class, it still wasn't right to call off our engagement on the plane.

Throughout the flight, I kept asking myself if I really wanted to break up with Chase - the one person who actually seemed to love me.

Maybe my heart was still with Josh after all these years but he was already going to get married soon and he wouldn't even be able to remember me so all hope was already lost for any future relationship between us.

But did I really want to marry Chase? I just didn't know. I've known him for more than five years but still, marriage was a big deal.

I nearly screamed "hallelujah" when the plane finally landed. I just hated flights. I don't know why.

I quickly put on my sunglasses so the paparazzi wouldn't see the eye bags that had formed beneath my eyes as a result of my long nap.

Chase still didn't say anything to me. He was just quiet till we got off the plane.

As expected, fans were everywhere. As soon as I walked into the airport, they followed me like bees asking me to sign autographs and take pictures with them, which I did.

After signing an autograph for one of the fans, I looked and I didn't expect who I laid eyes on.

It was Josh staring at me like I was a different specie of human being. I removed my sunglasses to be sure they weren't the ones deceiving me.

I could see that fiance of his behind him and that made my stomach churn with anger. I was brought out of my thoughts when Chase held my free hand. I didn't know what his intentions were for holding them, but I knew it was for a questionable purpose. However, I didn't fight it.

When I had finally satisfied the crowd and they left me, I saw Josh walking up to us but before he could take five steps, Amanda pulled him by the arm.

Someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned to see who it was. Once again, I was flabbergasted.

"I need to speak with you privately" Mrs. Stevens said. Her luggage was in her left hand and J guessed she must've also just come got out of the plane.

I was too shocked to talk so Chase said, "I'll go get the car ready" he left us alone.

Mrs. Stevens cleared her throat and said, "I don't want you anywhere close to my son. I'm glad you have a fiance and as you can see, he'll soon be married too" she said. I couldn't believe my eyes. The last time I'd seen Mrs. Stevens, she was trying to have me rot in prison for almost killing Stephanie. She was also in court when her husband had gone on trial for rapping me. She never apologized for any of it and here she was, telling me this trash.

"I believe Los Angeles is big enough for the both of us, so mind your business and stay away from my son! You only bring bad luck to him" she said, "I'm I understood?"

I simply nodded before she walked away to where her son and his fiancee stood.

As I walked past them to the exist, I could feel Josh's eyes on me but I didn't turn around in order to avoid eye contact. I just wanted to cry at that moment.

"What did she say?" Chase asked me as soon as I'd entered the car.

"Nothing important. Just saying how she was proud of me and all" I lied and Chase nodded slowly.

"So how was your stay in Nigeria?" Harry asked me while he got us something to drink and I looked at the different contracts on my desk.

"Very eventful..." I replied still looking at the paper in my hand. We were in my office and it was my idea to immediately go back to work the following day in order to get my mind off things.

"I can tell. I mean, you ended up spending more than two months there" Harry said before dropping my own glass of whiskey on my large desk.

"Yeah. When I say eventful, I actually mean it. A lot of things happened within those two months" I replied.

"Care to share?" Harry asked sipping from his drink while I hadn't touched mine.

"I'd rather not talk about most of those....events" I said with a sigh.

"If you say so then" Harry finished his drink and dropped the glass. "Here's a list of up coming events you need to attend" he hands me another piece of paper like there wasn't too many on my desk already.

I sighed and collected it from him. I looked at the listed events and the first one on the list caught my attention. "Jim Harrington's fiftieth birthday? This is tomorrow... And who's he again?"

"He's the director of your first movie..." Harry replied like it was supposed to be an obvious fact. I mentally smacked myself for forgetting someone so important.

"Oh, yeah. But it's tomorrow night. That's too soon. I haven't settled down yet and I still need to change my wardrobe" I said.

"Well, then you better start shopping because he said I should make sure you're there so you can't miss this event Bella" Harry said and I groaned before laying my head on the piles of paper in my desk.

Being an actress was something else.
