Josh

It all happened so fast. I couldn't believe she threw up on me. You can only imagine the way I screamed before running back into the restaurant to wash up in the restroom while Bella kept laughing. By the time I returned, Bella was already asleep in the car so I drove to the hotel. The same hotel I said we would vacate because of the rat invasion the previous day but because we were busy, I didn't have time to.

It was almost 11pm by the time we got to the hotel and I was exhausted but I managed to carry sleepy head to my, or rather, our room. Of course, I got a few stares as I carried Bella bridal style but I didn't care.

After I'd placed Bella carefully on the bed, I heard a knock on the door and I went to get it.

"Sir, the suite for Miss. Nwankwo is ready" the manager informed me as soon as I opened the door.

I thought for awhile before saying, "She won't be needing it anymore". The manager nodded and left. I closed the door behind me and thought of what I'd just done. There was no particular explanation or reasons for my actions. I just wanted her to stay with me for tonight, was that too much to ask?

I climbed into my own side of the bed after I'd taken a bath and changed into my pajamas. This time, she wasn't backing me and neither was I backing her, so yeah, we were facing each other and I could see that she was much more peaceful when asleep.

I had no idea how long I'd been staring at her. Maybe an hour or so but when I'd eventually fallen asleep, I was smiling.

I woke up to realize the beautiful melanin face I'd been staring at wasn't there anymore. Bella wasn't in the suite which made wonder where she could've gone to.

I was brushing my teeth when I heard loud music coming from outside the hotel. I ignored the noise and continued brushing until I heard, "Mr. Stevens! Calling... Mr. Stevens! Come out to the balcony... Mr. Stevens..." I didn't need anyone to tell me that was Bella's voice. I quickly rinsed my mouth and went out to the balcony to know what she could be up to. She was supposed to be having a hangover, wasn't she?

At first, the whole thing made me confused. It looked like Bella was serenading me.

I realized the song that was playing was, "All of me" by John Legend, but what amazed me was the people who lined up with cardboards raised up in the air. Together, they spelt, "We ♥ Joshua". I couldn't help but grin. How could I not?

However, something about the whole thing felt so familiar. It was almost like I'd seen this before. It almost felt like a dream I had but later forgot.

"This was exactly how you asked me to be your girlfriend" Bella said into her megaphone. I raised an eyebrow at what she'd said before I realized what she trying to do. In as much as her effort did little to helping me regain my memory, it made me love her for it.

_____________

"So, where did you say we were going?" I asked Bella who was in the closet putting on her clothes.

"No where in particular. I promised I'd help you regain your memory or at least try" I smiled after she'd said that. We had no business in New York anymore but Bella insisted we stayed a bit and explored the city. I agreed to whatever terms just to spend time with her.

I never thought our adventure that day would lead us to Central Park but it did.

"Okay, can you remember the name of our high school?" Bella asked while we walked around the park with the ice-cream we'd bought earlier.

"Err... I don't know" I replied without even trying to remember. It was no use.

"Lagos Elites Academy" Bella said before talking another scoop of her ice-cream.

"Jesus... That's the name?" I chuckled.

"Yup, such a ridiculous name" she smiled. "Honestly, I don't know how to help you" she said after a moment of silence.

"What you did this morning was helpful, I think"

"If that was helpful..." she seemed to contemplate on something for a while as we stopped walking and she turned to face me, "...then this should do the trick" she said before quickly pecking me on the lips. "Do you remember anything?" she asked with a grin.

"No, I think a five minute kiss would do the job properly" and without waiting for her reply, I kissed her. Something I've been meaning to do since I saw her.

I almost couldn't believe it, I was kissing Isabella Nwankwo.

When the doctor said I might regain my memory, I never expected it to happen overnight. And it didn't. But, however, I could remember a couple of things prior to the next day. I could at least remember all my highschool moments.

I could remember that Steph had told me how she was bullied by Bella and we planned on taking revenge. We planned on making Bella fall for me and break her heart later on but I ended up being the one to fall for her. I also remembered that my dad had raped her which was why he was currently in prison. And that was all I could remember. No one told me regaining my memory would also cause headaches too.

I'd already woken up with Bella still cuddled up in my arms. I couldn't wait to tell her how much I'd remembered but I didn't want to wake her up. And besides, how was I supposed to tell her that I remember that my dad raped her? Now I knew what she meant when she said I wouldn't want to regain my memory.

For the first time, after we'd kissed in Central Park, we didn't sleep on separate sides of the bed. We were closer. And I guess we must've eventually cuddled up before morning. I didn't want to move. I wished we could stay like that forever.

When both our phones began making notification sounds continuously, I knew our moment would be interrupted.

Of course, the sound had woken Bella up and she immediately grabbed her phone from bedside table and I did the same.

Apparently, all social media had gone crazy after a picture of Bella and I at the restaurant and also at Central Park, kissing, was shared on instagram yesterday.

The hashtag #Boshua was actually now a thing and in as much as so many people shipped us, so many people were against our relationship.

"People can never mind their business, huh?" I heard Bella mumble before she climbed out of bed. Just as Bella walked into the bathroom, someone banged on the door like they were going to kick it down any time soon.

I immediately got out of bed wondering who the mad idiot was.

I swung the door open only to be met with the glares of Amanda and my mother.

"What-"

"Shut the hell up!" Amanda hollered at me before they both marched in.

I was going to stop them but another figure walked into the room.

Chase?!
