*********Freya's P.O.V *********
These days I am enjoying Leo's company more and more. I want to spend more time with him, know more about him. I can't believe I took him to the lake spot, except a few people that I love I have never taken anyone else there.
Early in the morning we assembled at the hub and a mini bus came to pick us up to Walton Hotel. The hotel is inside a huge complex occupying about twenty five stairs. The glassy finishing gave it a modern and edgy look with a "WH" logo made of gold embedded on the front. The complex has a large pool area, kids section, shopping area, an amusement park and a casino. It is a bit far from the city near the forest area and the luscious green landscape around is very pleasant.
We are welcomed by the WH's main head chef Mr. Jeremy Nolan and the staff who are going to work with us.
"I'm very glad to have you guys here and I am looking forward for all of us to work together as one team. First thing tomorrow morning, we will discuss and finalize the the menu for the event. This time we decided to have three innovative dishes on the menu, so I request all the chef's who wish to present their dish prepare it and we will have a fair competition tomorrow morning 11AM here" after the announcement by Nolan we all dispersed and on our way to our rooms.
We all got our own rooms and the hotel management even arranged a nanny to take care of Karen's daughter for the week. Howard, Mr. Wills and Baron are on floor 24 while Leo, Karen, Pilot, Rita and I have adjacent rooms on floor 25.
"Something is not right" Rita gazed around as soon as she entered my room with her hands on her hips.
"What"? I asked.
"I mean this" she pointed her finger around the room. "How come a waitress gets a master suite room in one of the expensive hotels in the country and Karen, she got a single room for her and her daughter and a fuckin nanny and all expenses are paid?" Rita shook her head in disbelief.
"Maybe Mace-Tech have lot's of money" I voiced out my thought.
"No not Mace-Tech don't you know they are just collaborators for this event? It's Weissman Industries who is gonna launch the 5G tech" Rita explained.
"Oh really? I didn't know that" I tried to speak casually but the name Weissman hit a nerve as I remembered the arrogant guy from Stella's party.
"Hmm as far as I know neither Mace-Tech nor Weissman Industries have a reputation to be that considerate towards their employees and the thing is we're not even their employees we're just sub contractors" said Rita still in her detective mode.
"Maybe Mr.Brown has something to do with it?" I said.
"Oh common Freya, that old man didn't even give a raise for us last Christmas, do you think he will arrange this"? She rolled her eyes.
"Well I think we should forget about this and let's explore the place since we don't have anything to do till tomorrow" I held Rita's hands playfully.
*******Lucas's P.O.V*******
I've arranged suite rooms for all the guys from the hub. I ordered Destiny to arrange a nanny for Karen's daughter and make it look like it is hotel's policy to take care of employees who are single parents.
After the meeting with WH staff, I've been walking through the corridors in my disguise and I had a mask covering my nose and mouth just in case if anyone recognize me.
Finally I'm alone in the lift and took my mask off for a second to let out a deep breath. Suddenly the lift door has opened and I met someone I never thought I would meet here.
"You look very well for someone sick" a sarcastic remark.
"What are you doing here"? I glared.
