Later on in the year, my mom and I were invited to have dinner with Laura and Neal, which we accepted. It was still quite a while before Christmas, but I couldn't help but feel in the holiday mood. I wore a cute lavender dress with white lace and a red ribbon sash, snowman tights, black flats, a red headband, and my orange jacket. I also had the charm bracelet, now with a few more charms, and I also brought my backpack, which had the bear in it. Charlie of course, had his snow globe with him, as he usually does.

We were surprised when Scott suddenly showed up, wanting to see Charlie. To be honest, I didn't recognize him at first, and probably wouldn't have if I didn't hear his name. The whole North Pole, Scott being Santa Claus thing came up again, and I quickly talked my mom out of leaving the room before things got too tense. Sure enough, Charlie and Neal started arguing about it until Charlie tossed his snow globe to Scott, and I could tell he saw the magic take effect.

Neal and Laura eventually left the room, and it was just the three of us.

"You saw the ball come to life." Charlie said excitedly.

"You bet I did," Scott replies, then there was a small pause. "Well, I should get going."

"I'll get my stuff!" Charlie says, starting to run up the stairs, but Scott stops him.

"Hold on. I think it might be best if you stay here with your mom."

"But I wanna go." Charlie says, disappointed.

Before Scott or I could say anything else, we heard another voice behind us, and we turned to see a familiar face.

"Bernard!" Charlie and I both say at the same time.

"Hey, Alice. Hey, Sport." He says, walking over to us.

Charlie started asking him if he could go while I got my backpack and put it on.

"Alice, what are you doing?" Scott asks.

"I'm coming with you guys." I respond.

"Alice..." He starts, but I cut him off.

"I wasn't asking for your permission. I'm coming with you."

Scott sighed in defeat as the four of us teleported to the Pole. We immediately got to work getting ready for Christmas. Things had been very busy, but when I got the chance, I decided to call my mom, who was probably worried about where I was.

"Alice?"

"Hey, mom."

"Are you alright? Where are you? Are you with Scott and Charlie?"

"I'm fine, Yes, I'm with them, and you wouldn't believe me if I told you."

"Alice Lennox, if you're trying to say you're at the North Pole-"

"I am, and I got to go. It's really busy here. Talk to you when I can."

When I hung up, I turned to see Bernard standing in the doorway.

"Hey," I say, "Is everything set?"

"Almost," He responds, "Just thought I'd stop by and give you an early Christmas present."

"Oh?" I ask, "And what might that be?"

He comes closer and holds out two more charms, a heart and a "B".

"They're beautiful." I say, looking at them.

"Just like you," he responds.

I could instantly feel myself blushing madly, and didn't know how to respond.

"May I?" He asks, and I smile a little as I pull up my jacket sleeve and hold out my wrist, watching him put the charms on the bracelet. "Come on, let's go see if they need us to help out." He says, and we leave holding hands.

"There they are." Charlie says as we caught up to him and Scott. "We're all set!"

"Did we miss something, or...?" Scott asks, and I notice we were still holding hands.

"No, nothing at all," We say.

"Time to go?" I ask.

"Yup, come on!" Charlie says as he climbs into the sleigh.

I later climbed in, followed by Scott, and we took off.
