Charlie was showing Scott all the new upgrades made to the sleigh as we traveled from house to house until we made it to Neal and Laura's. We waited on the roof until we heard sirens and saw Police cars driving away. 'That's not good...' I thought.
Neither Charlie nor I knew what we should do, so we just stayed where we were, until we saw some elves come in on jetpacks.
"Charlie? Alice?" One of them asked us.
"Yes?" We responded.
"Don't worry, we're the good guys." The elf reassured us, "Come on, let's go save Santa."
"We can't." Charlie says, "The police are watching this place."
"They probably are, but we weren't planning on going out the front door. We find that it would be a lot faster if we fly."
Charlie took the elf's hand, while another took mine. "And guys," The elf says to us, "Don't ever try this without elf supervision."
With that, we took off and headed for the police station. The door was unlocked when we arrived, so we walked in and saw just one guy at the desk.
"We're here to see Santa Claus," The elf says to him.
"Go home kids." He responds, "Visiting hours are over."
"We're not kids," The elf counters, "and we're not visiting."
"We're here to bust out my dad." Charlie says.
"Wait a minute, you're the Calvin boy," The officer realizes before looking at me, "and you're the Lennox girl." He then pulls out some files on Charlie and myself. "Who are these other kids?"
"We're your worst nightmare," The elf says, "elves with attitude."
I couldn't help but laugh as the elves proceeded to tie the officer to his chair with ribbons before making our way to where they held Scott.
"Charlie! Alice!" He says when we find him.
"You okay, Dad?" Charlie asks him.
"I am now." He responds.
Two of the elves proceed to remove the hinges off the door before moving it and letting Scott out.
"How did you guys do that?" He asks.
"Tinsel." The elf responds, "Not just for decoration."
We quickly made our way back to Neal and Laura's, where they quickly came over and hugged Charlie. My mom later came out and hugged me too before bombarding me with questions.
"Alice! Are you alright? Are you hurt?"
"Yes, I'm fine, I'm okay." I respond before she lets me go.
Charlie was ready to go, but Scott insisted that he stay with Laura and Neal. We all watched the moment that followed and I almost cried from the cuteness. Laura quickly left and came back with their custody papers, and threw them into the fire, saying Scott could come see Charlie whenever he could.
At that moment, Bernard entered the room and reminded Charlie about the snow globe, and all he had to do to see Scott was shake it. He then came over to me and took my hand in his.
Before we could say or do anything, my mom asked "Alice Lennox, what are you planning?"
'It's as if she knew,' I thought, before saying "What do you mean?"
"I think you know what I mean. You can't just come back only to leave again."
"It's my choice. I want to go back."
There was a pause before she sighed in defeat. "Okay, fine. Be safe out there."
"Will do."
Scott, Laura, and Charlie all smiled at us while Neal looked like he was about to lose his mind, talking about how we were "pulling them into our delusions," before I left with Bernard to go back to the Pole.
