I did my usual rounds of helping out, but what mainly concerned me was that Frost was nowhere to be seen. I couldn't help but feel like I shouldn't have left him out of my sight for so long, but I guess that's what I get. I later found Mom and Lucy just outside  the workshop.

"Hey, you guys have a look around?" I ask, removing my coat.

"We did." Mom says.

"It was super cool!" Lucy says.

"It is really cool, isn't it, Gingersnap?" I reply.

"You guys really are always busy, aren't you?" Mom jokes. "You and Bernard really have a lot to manage. Speaking of which, where is he? I haven't seen him, and I thought he'd be with you."

"Yeah, it's crazy, but manageable. And he's out doing something right now, but should be back soon. I also need to ask if either of you guys have seen a guy in a winter themed suit? He's... helping out temporarily, and I'm supposed to supervise him."

"I don't think so." Mom says, "Is he a new elf or something?"

"He's Jack Frost."

"Oh, that must be exciting! What's he doing here?"

"It's a long story, Mom. And he's not who I thought he was."

"I saw him." Lucy says. "In the workshop, but I don't think he's still there."

"Okay, well, why don't I show you guys the kitchen and we can grab a quick bite to eat." I offer, and when we get there we see Carol with her parents. "Hello Hello!" I say, getting their attention.

"Alice, hi!" Carol greets, "Mom, Dad, this Is Alice, who works here, her mother Ella, and Lucy, Scott's niece."

Once again, the intro conversations ensued, and Scott joined us.

"Hey, I'm back!" He says, before something catches his attention. I look over and see a small oven fire that had just been put out. "What happened?" He asked.

"I think I have a theory." I say under my breath.

"Oh nothing, except that you didn't tell your in-laws that your ex-wife's daughter and Alice's mother are spending Christmas with you guys." Frost says, entering with a small mop in his hands.

"More secrets." Carol's dad says right before a machine breaks and causes another mess. "Nothing works in this joint!" He adds.

"If you think this is something, you should see the delivery room." Frost says, and Scott is forced to show Carol's parents where the hospital was, and the mess of the remodeling that was going on there.

"Hey Mom, could you take Lucy back to Scott and Carol's place for a few? I need to take care of this and have a talk with Jack." I say before telling them how to get there. Frost starts to leave but I stop him. "Hold it right there, Frost. You and I need to have a talk."

We then leave the kitchen after I got someone to clean up the mess, and we headed to the workshop.

"What is it you need to talk about, Alice?" Frost asks, trying to act innocent.

"Cut the crap." I tell him, "I know it's you behind this. You're trying to sabotage everything and make things even worse for Scott than it needs to be. You want him out so you can try and replace him. Well, you can forget it. You're out of here."

"Now, whatever gave you that idea?"

"Since you tried to get information out of Curtis and I about the Escape Clause."

"And how helpful he was. Too bad he didn't listen to you."

"They were right. You really are a wicked being. And to think I tried to defend you back then. I thought you were good. I believed in you, so much I wasted all that time hoping I would see you just once."

"Maybe if you truly believed, you would have seen me. Sure, I wouldn't be what you had hoped, but you would have gotten what you wanted. It's not too late for me to give you that. All you need to do is keep quiet."

"Forget it. Your tricks won't work on me. I'm going to tell Scott."

"No, you're not." Frost says, grabbing my arm and dragging me away to another room and opened a closet door. Next thing I knew, a chilling sensation rushed over me. He was going to silence me. I tried to fight him, but I was no match for his powers. Next thing I knew, I couldn't move, and my vision darkened.
