Me and Mari left our dorm, and she started chatting away to me about her classes and her latest boyfriends.
Mari wasn't a slut. Far from it! She was just a bit like...Taylor swift. She goes through boyfriends like crazy! But it takes a lot for her to think much of you in the first place. So any guy who gets a Mari crush obviously has something special.
As we walked, I touched my hair. The mushroom had been tamed for now, thank god.
"Your hair is dumb." Mari said.
Say what.
"Shutup!" I said in a grumble, flicking some of the bowlyness out my face. "I-It's how I like it."
I lied. I wanted to get it cut. I was just too scared to! What if another style didn't suit me! Besides...the cut sort of suited my personality-a bit dorky and a tiny little bit messy.
Getting my bowl cut off would be like removing a part of myself!
"I'm kidding." She laughed. "But you look like toad from Mario. I know I tell you this everyday but why don't you get a different hair cut next time?"
A different hair cut? No way.
"Eww no! I like my hair." I said with a confident smile.
We were nearing the party now. I could tell. The music was getting louder with ever step.
I'm not going to lie. I was a bit nervous. Truth is, I've never been to a party before.
"Woah. This house is massive!" I exclaimed while Mari dragged me into the house.
There was way to much PDA going on in this party. Gross.
There were people groping and shoving their tongues down each others throats and it was super off putting. Probably because nobody was doing it to me.
"Want a beer!?" Mari asked, already popping open one herself and dancing to the music.
The music was so loud I could barely hear what Mari was saying.
"What!?" I shouted back.
"I said, do you want a beer?" She laughed back.
I shook my head and pointed to my ears. "Can't hear you!" I yelled and turned around to get myself some juice. I was hoping there would be some Fanta! Fanta is my favour- "Oof!"
I smacked into something hard and I stumbled backwards slightly, glancing up at the person who wasn't looking where they were going.
My eyes first wandered up the figures chest. It was muscly and firm...just like his 6 pack. He was tall, because I was only up to his shoulder or so.
I froze on the spot, realising who he was.
That guy.
"O-oh!" I exclaimed and my eyes went wide. I was completely stiff (that's what she said) and I gulped, hoping to god he didn't remember me as the nerdy clumsy idiot from the cafe.
"Hey. Sorry bout that." He said, his brown eyes twinkling and a small smirk playing at the corner of his lips. He ran a hand through his dark soft looking hair and my eyes glanced down at his body again. Christ.
For a few seconds I was silent and then I freaked, stumbling out of sight due to embarrassment. Where the hell was David. I will find him. And I will kill him.
That bastard! He didn't tell me hot gu- I mean that guy would be here! Damn it the alcohol is getting to me. I'm already calling guys hot...wait I haven't drunk any alcohol yet. I need some.
I grabbed a beer out of a random guy's hand and sighed. "Cheers."
Popping it open, I took a sip. "What the hell is that? Taste like sheisse!"
"Ian." I familiar voice laughed and I immediately recognized it as David's. "I think you need to calm down, buddy." He patted my on the back and I coughed. Beer was nasty.
"David!" I hissed back. "That guy. That guy from the cafe!" My voice was a little hysterical and I stood on my tippy toes so I could scan above the heads of everyone else, just to make sure that guy wasn't anywhere near.
"Yeah. So what. He goes to my college." David said with a shrug, smirking a little and drinking some of his beer.
Fury caused my cheeks to go red. So that's what he's planning to do! Not tell me that, that guy goes to his college, just so David can have him all to himself. That's why, David was so chummy with him this morning at the cafe.
"He goes...to your college?!" I shouted.
"Oh my god. Relax. Drink your beer, make some friends and if your really that nervous to talk to him then get drink and the nerves will dissapear."
Remember I said being friends with David was like having an older brother? Pfft. What kind of older brother encourages their younger brother to drink. Beer is gross anyway.
