Mari arrived back at around mid-night. Me and Anthony were still texting eachother and I hadn't moved from my one spot of the couch.
It was amazing! My vocabulary had improved so much. In the space of a couple hours I had learned what Lol, lmao, brb, ikr and ttyl meant!
Mari switched on the light, causing blinding light to fill the room. She tossed her coat effortlessly onto the peg.
I hissed and sheilded my eyes. The only light I had seen for the passed three hours had been the light of my phone. My eyes stung and I knew I was tired, but I wanted to carry on talking to Anthony for ever. "Turn it off! It's too bright!" I wailed, but Mari took no notice.
She flopped onto the couch and mumbled with a grin. "Still talking to Anthony I see?"

I think Mari is drunk!
I simply smiled and nodded my head. My heart pounded against my chest and my eyes stayed glue to the screen as I waited for a response. I could barely sit still!
"Did you forget to take your ADHD medication today, Ian?" Mari asked with a riased eyebrow. There was no question she thought I was acting ridiculous. I almost dropped the mobile when it buzzed. I gasped.
"He replied!"
"That's usually how communication works." Mari murmured sleepily, clearly amused by her response.
"Mari, I'm reading it!" I exclaimed
"So happy for you."

Aha. She's quite a party girl isnt she?
I skeptically glanced over at my drunken room mate. How dare she liked parties! Anthony clearly liked party people. Was Mari trying to steal my man? Nuh-uh. I'm not taking this.

I'm a party person too! :D
That ought to do it. Mari buried her face into the pillow with a moan and said something that sounded a bit like. "Ask him out."
My heart leapt when my phone buzzed once again. "Oh!" I exclaimed and opened the message.

I flushed. Oh boy, he had to bring that up? How embarrassing!

I wasn't wasted! I just drank some of that weird alcoholic drink and then I started feeling hyper and stuff.
I sat with my knees up against my chest, with my eyes shyly peering through the gaps of my legs to gaze at the little screen of my mobile phone. When it buzzed, I smiled sheepishly.
