I sat there for what seemed like hours, crouched behind the counter and peering over the edge at them, fearful of getting caught.
Gosh...I just wanted to watch Anthony all day. The way his perfect soft looking lips held the straw of his chocolate frappé drink as he sucked it u-
"What the hell..." I hissed to myself, sliding down the wall until I was sitting on the floor. I slammed my fist into the side of my head. "Dont think that!"
My thoughts were turning nastay. I found my cheeks going red.
"Ian!" David said in an urgent whisper. "Get the f*ck u-"
"Shut Up, David! I'm having a crises right now!" He grumbled back, picking at the frayed edges of my disgusting apron and whined in frustration, hugging my knees when I heard the angelic sound of Anthony's laughter.
David sighed and then sat beside me. "Ian." He whispered. "I need to tell you something."
"Shoot." I said, looking up at him.
"No! Come closer. I have to whisper it."
"Fine."
I edged my face closer to his.
"No. Closer!" He urged so I moved even closer. I found myself grinning stupidly at how gay he was acting.
As soon as my nose was almost touching David's, I prepared myself for the bit of gossip he was about to tell me.
Something wacked against my cheek and smacked me into a daze.
That son of a biatch just slapped me. How could he. "David..." I hissed through gritted teeth. "What th- wh-why?"
He was snickering at his own cunningness and probably at my stupidity for actually falling for it.
"Because I kind of gay." He stated
"Um..." I blushed and glared at him angrily. "Says who? You little bastard!" I grumbled, suddenly having a giganting urge to slap him back.
I was almost entirely sure everyone could here our fierce whispers and curses from behind the counter.
"Says me!" David said with a teasing little grin on his face, looking a bit like the Cheshire Cat. I hated David.
"Shut up!" I spat, staring straight ahead of me and frowning. I had absolutely no intentions of replying to him, no matter how outrageous the things he said were.
He let out a long sigh, a hint of amusement still apparent in his breath. "Oh okay. I guess you won't be asking Anthony out then." He said, pausing and letting out a dismal hum. "Shame. Who am I kidding. You probably wouldn't have done it anyway. You are a shy one aren't you!" David smirked, prodding my cheek annoyingly which caused me to narrow my eyes and purse my lips.
It's not my fault I was shy. I'm sick of people always picking on me for that!
I ignored David and kept glaring at the wall.
"Then again, I don't even think you would have asked him out in the first place." He said in a dull tone. David let out another sigh just for emphasis. "You're just a little too scared. Not a bad thing. Some people are just like tha-"
"I am NOT scared!" I yelled, jumping to my feet and clenching my fists by my side. Suddenly realising how loud I shouted, I lowered my voice and added "I am also not gay!"
David raised his eyebrows with a mischevious smirk and just nodded. He didn't say anything else so I continued.
"I don't want to go on a date with a boy! Bleh! Yuck!" I hissed and poked my tongue out at him.
"I'm not afraid of asking to hang out with him! I will do it!"
"Okay." David replied.
"Right now!"
"Okay!"
"Believe it!" I yelled with a look of naive determination.
