Tortured Peace

I was running
Running from misery
Running from my soul

I had closed my eyes
And felt the wind
Against my cheek.
So soft it killed

My hands in the air
My feet on the ground
I was still attached
No matter how hard I ran

The black behind
Was so colourful
The blue in the sky
So dark

I had sat there
As it came at me
Closed my eyes
I had slept on it

Thought it was a day dream
All worries aside
My mind asleep
Nothing left to hide

I had given myself in
Unwillingly
Unconsciously
I didn't know I would be wronged

I had suffered And writhed
The pain It killed
I had to let go
So I began to run

Thought I would be free
Thought it was an escape
From all that was behind
Thought I had wrong

I was running
Running from my misery
Running from my soul

But I knew I would get nowhere
Nowhere in forever
Nowhere in a run

But I knew I would get nowhereNowhere in forever Nowhere in a run

I kind of wrote this with my eyes closed (metaphoriaclly) . I had nothing in mind while writing this and it just all came out. So feel free to interpret it as you want to. I would love to hear your thoughts :)

Till next time, may your clothes always fit you
