Sleepless nights
Drowsy days
Zoning out in class
Hiding from sun raysLies had been told
People so high and mighty.
Trying to shut it out
Closing my eyes tightlyClenched fists on the side
Bloodshot eyes, trying to hide.
Cold feet tucked inside
Lightheaded, last night I criedA smile on my face
I'm happy, careless
Sunken eyes
I'm tough, fearlessMy skull is hard
My heart fragile
We've made our vision blurry
we're drunk, now highI had listened as they had drone on
Locking hands, told to hold on
I was lost in my mind
Fighting with my insideSleepless nights
Drowsy days
Beautiful skies
A melancholy spaceStolen minutes of sleep
Such a crime
Called out twice
Deadly, I've repliedYes I'm awake
Yes I'm alive
I'm happy and free
Ready to thriveThey don't know my story
Nor have they ever tried
To ease the burden
Help hold up the skiesI hold myself up
Walk with a stride
I still have that mind
Those bloodshot eyesHad quite a lot of inspiration to this
Tell me what you think!Till next time, may your nights always be peaceful
