Chapter 8

Los Angeles, California

In a dark big room.  Just a pleasant slow breathing can be heard. 

Then suddenly, a loud thug brought him awake.

"Ouch!!!.. Oohh.. Uuhgg." He reach for the switch of the light above him.

'Cause now, he was lying on the floor face down. He touch his forehead and it has a tiny bump in there.

"What the heck!" I'll go to  my work with a bump on my forehead. What happen to me. It didn't happen before. It's only the first time. He said to himself.

Tiningnan niya ang oras. It's only four in the morning. But he didn't feel to go back to sleep. Lumabas ng kwarto at tinungo ang kusina upang kumuha ng ice para sa bukol.

Then went to his room at kinuha ang kanyang laptop. He decided to review his files and email para sa kanyang bagong project. 

Nag-alarm ang kanyang cellphone.  It says that it's already six in the morning. Time for his short work out before going to office. He always eat breakfast sa office na, para hindi ma-late.

Yan ang kanyang routine everyday.  Wala ng time para sa sarili. Puro na lang trabaho. But, he is happy on what he does.  Para sa future plans.

Ano nga ba ang plano niya?

He's on his way to the office ng tumunog ang kanyang cellphone. He put on his earphone and answer it.

"Yes, hello?" says Andrei.

"Oh, it's you! How are you?"

On the other line says.. "Yeah, its me.  Well I'm fine. So much fine.  Sad to say to you.  I'm very happy right now."

Andrei: "You freak.  Ok..ok.  I'm jealous.  But, I'm happy for you.  You've found the one."

Friend: "But you've found yours too." mocking him.

Andrei: "Silly..." smiling at himself.

Friend: "You're the silly one. You have her but you let her go."

He blew some air from his lungs. Thinking about her...got this heavy feeling in his heart.  Remembering what he does to her.

Andrei: "I guess, I'm not the right person for her.. She will find someone that good enough than me."

Friend: "For your info, she doesn't." shaking his head.

Andrei: "What do you mean?"

Friend: "She doesn't have anyone ever in her life!".

Andrei: "Did you see her again? he asked.

Friend:" Nnooo...but someone told me... And I heard that she's com...tot..tot..tot."

Andrei:"Shit!!. My phone shut down.  The battery is empty".  He forgot to charge his phone. While looking through his emails and files awhile ago.

Siguro dahil na rin sa aksidente niya kanina sa pagka hulog sa kama. Kinapa pa niya ang noo upang malaman kung lumiit na ito. Para di na rin masyadong obvious.

Nearing to his office. He park right away and headed to the elavator and push the botton number 20.  Where his office located.

Her secretary came in to his office for his order. Kasi di pa siya nag-aalmusal and this is his usual routine everyday.  He started working but his focus is, wasn't there. Nag-aabang kasi siya sa muling pag tawag ng kanyang kaibigan.

Time has passed at natapos rin niya sa wakas ang ibang mga importanteng trabaho.  8:05 in the evening ng matapos siya. Pero gusto pa niya sanang magtagal kahit isang oras lang.  But he feels tired already.  He fix his things and went home.
