Chapter 10

PHILIPPINES

Almost half a month had passed. Andrei decided to go back in LA. He thinks that its a waste of time to stay longer.

He's a very busy person. So why waste so much time.

He pack his things and book for his flight as soon as possible.

Los Angeles, California

Welcome home. So glad to be back. I miss my own bed. As soon as he got home. He immediately went to his room and laid back to his bed.

Andrei didn't notice that he fell past asleep.

Startled when his phone ring.

"Yes, hello?" Andrei answer.

"It's Thomas. I heard that you're here now. Are you going to the office tomorrow?".

"Why? Is it urgent?."

"Well, not really. Just asking."

"In that case. I should stay home tomorrow. That would be my rest day for all the work and stress that I encountered.  Just take care of the office for me. For one day more."

"Alright. Your the boss. Okay take a rest. And there will be more work ahead of you. Fully charge yourself tomorrow. Bye."

Andrei turn off his cellphone. So that, no calls will be entertain.

He spread his arms. Then lay down on his bed to get some more sleep before he unpack his things out of his luggage.

Andrei woke up with a growling stomach. He's hungry already.  He look into his watch. He slept for four hours. And it's already almost lunch time.

He got up and change his clothes and went down to the restaurant and take his lunch. He sat beside the glass wall of the resto. While eating he's looking to those who passes by across the street. Where he can see all the people walking and talking. Laughing with friends and some  couple walking while holding their hands. 

After seeing that. He took a deep breath and sigh. Then he took a bite of his steak but before he chew that he notice someone familiar to him, that walks across the street. Is it real or he just assume that he saw her. That is impossible.

Andrei immediately finish his lunch and went outside. Looking for her. Then suddenly.. Why I was looking for her. Didn't know if that person is really her. And all places, why here?. That's impossible.

Going back to his suite. Andrei is still in his deep thought. 

He shook his head and said 'forget about it. Its impossible".  He sat on his couch, turn on the the television and watch his favorite movies on HBO. He will watch a movie marathon. Until he pass out again and fall asleep.

It's dark outside when he wokes up. Almost seven in the evening. He doesn't want to go outside. So, he ordered a large box of pepperoni pizza and a bottle of coke for delivery for his dinner.

After awhile, he took a shower and open his laptop. Upadating his work for tomorrow. And ready to sleep afterwards.

Another day to start.

But in two hours of lying down. He kept on tossing and turning. He can't get into sleep.  Why it's keep on popping in my head. The girl that i saw on the street.

He got up and took out his whisky from his side table and drink. Until he feels tipsy. He lie down again. This time, he fell asleep at last.
