Peeta POV
I didn't say goodbye to Plutarch, I haven't seen him in ages.
Katniss POV
I didn't have enough energy to be angry at him back then. I was always focused on other things, or to drugged up. But that was then.
Peeta POV
I don't know if the hijacking has anything to do with the anger I feel, all I know, is that I'm angry, and I'm not interested in figuring out why.
I pry Effies fingers, off of my hand. "I'll be back soon." I say. She doesn't respond. Her eyes are fixed on Haymitch's limp form.
I shove Plutarch out of Haymitch's room, he doesn't deserve to be here, when I was in the arena, with Katniss, he sat comfortably in a air conditioned room, while us tributes battled for our lives.
He let us be shoved in that hell hole, without informing us about the plan that they'd formed. He didn't tell the two most important people, in the plan, know anything. It makes my blood boil.
"What are you doing here?" I hiss angrily.
"Peeta, it's good to see you...not restrained" Plutarch says, blissfully unaware to my rage. "And Katniss too, how lovely to see you both."
I realize Katniss has wheeled herself out behind me, I'm not surprised, of course Katniss wouldn't sit still and cry with Effie, while I came out alone, and faced Plutarch.
"Why are you here?" Katniss says, her voice quiet, but still filled with hurt. That's how I can tell, that she'll stand with my in this argument. That spending time with Plutarch in district thirteen, didn't calm her anger.
"Well I came to see my two favourite tributes." He says, his eyes filled with remorse. "I was horrified to hear about the attack, I can't believe what that man did."
I shake my head, I won't let that pitying gaze fool me, he fooled us before, making us think he was only interested in a good show.
"We're not tributes anymore." Katniss says. Her voice filled with hurt. "That time is over."
"Of course Katniss." Plutarch says. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you."
"Plutarch please." Katniss says, her voice losing some of its fire. "I can't deal with this not now."
Plutarch rests his hand on Katniss's shoulder, I watch her flinch and I grit my teeth. He shouldn't touch her, he should know that it will upset her.
"Of course." Plutarch says. "I should of realized this was not a good time. But I am not here for very long, may I seek the two of you tonight? I realize Mrs. Trinket will most likely not be up to a meeting"
"I don't know...maybe." Katniss says. "I'm sorry, we need to get back."
"Of course." Plutarch says, bowing his head respectively. "I understand, and please let Mrs. Trinket know that I'm here if she needs anything."
"I'm sure she won't." I say, my voice leaping from my throat. "She has us, after all."
Plutarch looks stunned for a moment, and for a second, I'm afraid he'll be mad or start talking of my hijacking. But he just tips his head again, before heading out the hospital doors.
"You're upset at him too." I say, after a moment of silence.
Katniss nods. "Haymitch..he told me how he wanted to stay at the arena, to rescue the others, but they couldn't if they'd stayed, the craft would of gotten shot down."
