**Contains spoilers for Blade of the Ultima S1**
Summary: What if Blade's blindness caused his eyes to go untamed forever, posing as a danger to everyone he cares about, forced to have a bandana around them?
"He's blind."
Aphmau never thought she'd hear those words again. The first time was when Aaron was blind but with some help from Lucinda, he could see again and now, the second time was her son. Oh how she would love to ask Lucinda for help again...she was told she couldn't, all because of two words. Two words that slowly became her nightmare.
"It's permanent."
So, here she was, sitting beside Aaron and Alina as they waited news of her son's current state. He had taken quite a beating just a few months ago and collapsed to the hard ground when Destiny did the same thing she did to Aaron. Stab him multiple times and push him off a cliff; only difference was this time, Destiny had pushed Blade off a 300 foot cliff, twice the size of the one she pushed Aaron off of.
She had made a mental list of all her son's injures and none of them were minor. No, they were all major injuries, injuries that actually forced his ears and tail to remain exposed. She turned to the side to face Aaron with a pleading look, a look even he knew was one that meant she wanted to help.
"Oh come on Aaron! I can't just sit here while my son is basically fighting for his life right now!"she yelled as she stood up and walked into her son's room.
Aaron tried to stop her but only successfully grabbed her hand, holding it firmly in his. "Aph, I know you want to help him but right now we can't. He has to rest, it's the best thing for him."Aaron told her.
Aphmau sighed. "I guess you're right. We'll have to thank Melissa for recommending us a doctor who actually knows your family secret."she said.
"You mean our family secret. Aph, you're part of the family too!"he noted.
The rest of the year went by quicker than she wanted. Alina has gone back to school, keeping tabs on Blade and at least letting their friends know what's going on and Aaron's pack had come to visit as well, in hopes of helping Blade master his inner wolf without letting it out. She was talking to Melissa about an upcoming event the two were planning over the phone.
"Hold on Melissa, I have to go."she said over the phone as she noticed a flicker of red dance across her son's now dull gray eyes when he sat up.
"...what. Of course, thank you Toby."Aaron said, hanging up on the phone that he was talking to Toby with.
"Mom! Dad! I'm home!"Alina shouted as she closed the front door to the cabin.
Aphmau walked out of Blade's room and down the stairs to greet her daughter while Aaron was beside Blade.
He noticed Blade's eyes turn from a dull gray to untamed within one second as he could also see a speck of dark gray which he knew from stories what it meant. Blade fell back asleep as Aaron walked down the stairs, sitting on the sofa beside his wife.
"Aph, we have a problem."Aaron said.
Aph looked at him. "Like what?"she asked, forgetting about the flicker of red across Blade's eyes.
"You've heard the stories about an Ultima going forever untamed, right?"Aaron asked her.
Aphmau shook her head. "No, the only story I've heard is about the Ultima Bloodline, courtesy of my father."she responded.
"Wait, Dad, did you say Ultima going forever untamed?"Alina asked, poking her head around the corner.
Her dad nodded. "Yeah why?"he asked her.
"I've heard stories about that. They say it's rare for an Ultima to actually be forever untamed and it's extremely dangerous to be around it as it can kill anything and anyone with just one look into their eyes. But that's never happened in history, not for a long time."Alina explained.
Her parents shared a look.
"Aaron, what's the problem?"Aph asked him.
"That has happened in history because it just happened. Blade's forever untamed."Aaron admitted.
"WHAT?!"both mother and daughter shouted as loud as they possibly could.
Alina took a deep breath. "How do you know dad?"she asked Aaron.
"I saw his eyes, they don't harm me because they can't but they could harm you and everyone we know."Aaron said, pulling both his girls into a hug.
"Is there, at least a solution to this?"Aph asked her husband, worry filling her face nonstop.
Aaron shook his head. "No, there is no cure to this. The best and safest thing for us and our friends is he has to keep his bandana around them at all times."he explained.
"So, he can't take it off."Alina mumbled as Aaron nodded.
"For the secrecy and safety of everyone, he's forbidden to take it off."Aaron told his eldest daughter, who simply just hugged her parents tight.
Aphmau stayed quiet, her brain processing the current information she was just told and so far, it scared her more than Micheal did. Finding out that her only son was not only blind permanently but was also forever untamed at the moment, which according to Alina and Aaron; it was dangerous and rare.
She sat peacefully on the couch with her daughter while Aaron went upstairs with a dark red piece of fabric held tightly in his hand. He opened the door slowly and walked inside, making his way over to Blade. Aaron tied the piece of fabric around his son's untamed eyes as he heard a soft groan.
"D...dad?"Blade's voice whispered, just barely being heard by Aaron.
"I'm here bud. How are you feeling?"Aaron asked him.
"A little better but it's still really painful."Blade responded. "Why is my bandana on?"he added, realizing the infamous piece of fabric was tied around his eyes.
"Blade, there's something you need to know..."Aaron stated.
"Like what?"Blade asked his dad.
"...you're forever untamed."Aaron said as Blade froze.
