Sneak Peek - "Divine Phoenix Days"

Summary - Ryzea Rivera is the daughter of Keori and a junior at DPH. On her first day; she befriends her mom's friend's son, Inigo Evans who needs help talking to his crush; a pretty werewolf girl named Briynne. The two met Briynne by accidentally bumping into her, hard. Ryzea, determined to prove her mom right, signs up for drama club; knowing she was pretty dramatic and unknown to her, a human boy also joins.

During club, with Inigo by her side as her first friend, she gets the courage to talk to the strange human.

"Hi, I'm Ryzea and this is my friend, Inigo."Ryzea introduces herself and the gray haired boy with his mom's blue eyes.

"Alpha!"the two heard Briynne shout as she ran towards the human.

"Hey Bri, what's up?"the human boy asked her.

She panted. "Brave's at it again."she said, in between breaths.

Ryzea Rivera groaned as the sun's beautiful rays hit her face, sparkling her cheek gently as her light indigo eyes opened, narrowing at the sun itself.

"Stupid sun. You couldn't have let me sleep in!"Ryzea yelled at the sun, sitting up in bed.

She got out of her bed and stretched her limbs. Her snow white meif'wa ears and tail swayed back and forth. Ryzea walked over to her bathroom and closed the door, changing into her DPH uniform and walked out, slipping on her black flats. She braided her white hair before placing an indigo bow on top of where her braid had started.

"Morning mom!"she cried cheerfully as she came down the stairs.

Her mom, Keori, looked up and flashed her a grin. "You look like someone put courage in you."Keori said.

Ryzea giggled. "I do have courage! You need it if you're in high school."she commented.

"Sure you do."her mom told her. "If you get a varsity jacket...."Keori trailed off, purposely.

"I'll make sure you're the first to try it on. Though, I may not get it back from you."Ryzea stated, knowing her mother would want a varsity jacket for herself as she never was able to get one.

"Hey! I'm not that obsessed with a varsity jacket!"Keori shouted.

Ryzea rolled her eyes. "Sure, you aren't."she mumbled sarcastically.
