Summary: Asch courts Aphmau but at what cost?

"It looks like Asch and Aphmau are getting along."Melissa commented and looked over at Blade. "Do you support this?"she added, asking her nephew.

"If he makes her happy, then that's all that matters."he retorted, his untamed eyes glued onto his mom and Asch, the demon prince of Daemos.

"Queen Aphmau, I shall court you."Asch said as Aphmau laughed.

Blade watched and for the first time in nine months, his mom was happy; truly happy.

[one month earlier]

"I'm so glad to hear Dottie, Blaze, and Maria could come, it means a lot to have his pack here."Aphmau stated as she styled her raven hair into a fancy dun.

When she was done, she sat behind Alina and did a braided bun. "This is hard on all of us, especially Blade. He keeps blaming himself."Alina mumbled.

Aphmau looked at the mirror along with Alina.

"Mom, I doubt any of us could actually talk...i mean, Blade's talking more now but he tends to keep to the shadows, ignoring everyone around him. And dad's death isn't helping him in any way."Alina explained.

[two hours later]

Aphmau tried her very hardest to not break down and cry nor did she try to even look at the pictures of him and especially his coffin that laid in front of the priest as she sat in one of the benches up front near his sister and her family, their son, and their daughters sat on both sides of Aphmau. Her step-dad, Eric, sat behind her with the occasional hand on her shoulder; assuring her that she wasn't alone.

"Aaron, oh boy where do I start?"Melissa cracked a joke, causing everyone to show a little smile and some even went to the point of laughing.

"Growing up, our parents kept you isolated but you always went back to that ridicuolus game only to end up playing with Shu, your love and best friend. When you told me, you found out who Shu really was in real life, I couldn't help but laugh at the stupid face you'd make when you mentioned her. Now, your family sits here, knowing that you are looking down at them from Heaven. I love you Aaron, you were the best brother any sister could have asked for. Thank you."Melissa said, looking mainly at Aphmau, who was slowly crying.

A voice cleared his throat. "I know my story about him might not be quite as short as Aunt Melissa's but still, he was my dad."Aphmau looked up to see her son up on stage, trying his very hardest not to glance down at the coffin.

He took a deep breath. "My dad was probably the best dad ever and I'm pretty sure my sisters' would agree with me but anyways..."he trailed off as he noticed a shadow outside the main church doors. "...I can't do this, I'm sorry."he said as he ran out of the church only to bump into a portal.

[four weeks later]

Blade had searched up mysterious portals on Google and found absolutely nothing. His mom and aunt were stuck in another dimension, a world that werewolves and meif'was don't exist in and here he was, googling about random mysterious portals appearing out of thin air. He realized he could ask Forest but she was out with the gang meaning he was alone.

He banged his head on the table in front of his laptop as his phone went off. Grumbling to himself, he picked it up.

"Hello?"he asked.

'And here I thought Aph was the grumpy one.'the voice laughed.

"Oh haha, Aunt Melissa. Laugh it up."Blade deadpanned.
