Taeyong's head rested on his palm as he tapped his metal pen against the surface of the marble. He practically resisted the urge to groan out loud in confusion and frustration while he carded through his hair and tightly gripped his jet-black locks.

The front door unlocked and opened, that familiar coffee-colored head of hair walking in the house and setting his keys down on the counter. He stood across from Taeyong on the kitchen island,"What are you doing?"

The older looked up only for few seconds,"Uh, filling out my college application."

Jaehyun went into the fridge, grasping a water bottle then closing it,"Oh, I already sent mine."

"Already? What school did you apply to?"

Jaehyun leaned forward, slightly peeking at Taeyong's application before bringing the brim of the water bottle up to his lips,"You'll find out eventually."

The older leaned his head against the surface of the counter,"What if I don't get accepted?"

Jaehyun reached over and ran his fingers through Taeyong's hair,"You'll get in, Taeyong."

The brunette's phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled the device out of his pocket and tapped the screen a couple times before his demeanor shifted,"Taeyong, I'll be right back."

Taeyong sat up, watching Jaehyun hurriedly grab his keys and approach the door,"Jaehyun-"

The door shut, the sound of Jaehyun's car turning on shortly heard after. Taeyong's expression become sullen upon the silence. Nonetheless, he continued on his application.

Hours passed without any calls or messages from Jaehyun. Finally, the sound of the front door being swung ajar emitted through the living room.

Taeyong rushed down the flight of steps until he saw Jaehyun standing under the closed door frame.

Jaehyun tiredly rubbed his eyes, half-heartedly smiling at his raven-haired boyfriend.

Taeyong approached the latter, Jaehyun beginning,"I'm sorry I left abruptly. Uh, Mark called and said Donghyuck passed out, ironically on their way to his therapy. He'd been lying about how much he's eaten."

Taeyong's expression grew worried and his voice laced with sympathy as he roughly swallowed,"No, it's fine."

Jaehyun ran his fingers through his brunette locks, still smiling at Taeyong as he changed the subject,"So, uh, did you finish your application?"

"Yeah, I sent it about an hour ago."

The younger ruffled Taeyong's hair before moving into the kitchen,"What do you want for dinner?"

Taeyong sauntered to Jaehyun, his hands delicately resting on the bruntte's shoulders,"Jaehyun, go lay down."

He looked to Taeyong,"But-"

"I'll make you something, okay?"

Jaehyun sheepishly smiled at Taeyong before grabbing the boy's face and pecking his thin lips.

Taeyong's cheeks obviously flushed a pink tint while Jaehyun removed himself and shortly after headed upstairs.

Taeyong scavenged through the half empty fridge and cabinets, pulling out any ingredients that may be of use to something. He set a skillet and cutting board out on the counter before washing his hands and beginning to prepare and cook whatever he could.
