Destiny Can Always Change

Chapter 10

The sound of a motorcycle can be heard through out the forest. Yang and Pyrrha were riding Bumblebee with the Shady Man through a forest in Anima, hopefully to Raven Branwen

"How much further, pal?" Yang asked the Shady Man. She did not want him to be on the bike with her and Pyrrha for any longer than he had to.

"This should just about do it."

Pyrrha turned her head and looked at the shady man. It was easy to tell that she was suspicious of him "Are you sure? It's doesn't look like anything is here."

"Look do you want to find who you're looking for or not?" The shady countered looking a bit annoyed.

Not having anything to say to counter the shady man Yang stopped her bike at a clearing.

"You two wait here. I'll go up ahead and make sure the coast is clear."

The Shady Man dismounted from the bike and ran into the bushes. Yang shakes her head in annoyance and discards her sunglasses, sleeve and coat tails before stretching a little.

Pyrrha hops of the bike with a sigh of relief. "I hate speaking badly about people, but I have never been so relieved to have someone leave in my life! I don't trust him at all! And does he even bathe? The next time we have to ride with a random shady stranger you can have them hold on to you for the entire ride."

Yang chuckled at Pyrrha's antics. "Ok then, but have fun learning how to drive a motorcycle."

Pyrrha gave Yang a light shove, which barely even caused her to stumble. But Pyrrha's eyes glittered with amusement and she gave a small laugh along with Yang.

Suddenly, someone pulled the trigger of a gun. Yang quickly got in front of Pyrrha and blocked the shot with her robotic arm. The Shady Man reappeared with several bandits in tow.

The shady man stepped forward with a cocky grin. "I can't believe you two were dumb enough to let me lead you both out here."

Each of the bandits presented their weapons, pointing them at Yang and Pyrrha.

Despite the situation Yang and Pyrrha looked unfazed and calm. "Is this everyone?" Yang asked.

The shady man chuckled.  "Yes, little lady. This is it. Well, unless you count the whole rest of the camp back that way." He gestured behind him with his thumb.

Yang points a finger in the same direction. "That way?"

The shady man grunts in confusion and looks at his tribe mates who look equally confused. Then he looks back at Yang and Pyrrha "Yes. That way."

"Good to know. Thanks,"  said Yang, her expression staying blank.

"Yes that is certainly some very useful information for us," Pyrrha said with a small smile on her face. She moved her hands so that they were hovering over her weapons.

The shady man glared at the two for a moment. He punches his fist as he speaks. "Now to pay me back for this tooth, we're going to take your bike. And you're both going to take your lumps."

Yang looks over at Pyrrha with a smirk. Pyrrha looks back at her and nodded. After that Yang engaged Ember Celica on her left arm as Pyrrha grabbed her weapons and got into a fighting position. The bandits get cautious and keep their weapons trained on them.

The shady man sees that two are planning to fight and aims his gun at Yang "You got the jump on me last time, sweetheart. But you really ought to think twice about fighting all—"
