"Hey, Peter!" You waved at him through the screen. She just smiled and waved back. "How are things in Queens? The avengers still getting into trouble like always?" You asked.

"Same as always, still hard without you here. Avengers are the same as every other day. Fighting crime and almost dying in the chaos.

" I hear they have a new recruit?" You asked, knowing perfectly well that, that new recruit was Peter. His face stiffens but he relaxes, keeping his cool.

"Yeah, Spiderman or something. He seems pretty cool." He shrugs it off. You finish up your movie night through a screen. And you both fall asleep on the video chat.

You've been getting calls from Steve for the past two months. Him asking you to be a part of the Avengers again. But you retired two years ago. You weren't putting that pressure on yourself. Especially since you didn't Have Tony to guide you anymore.

Your two years older than Peter. You met when you were in your third year of high school. At the end of the year when you finally became close you moved to Detroit for your dad's job. It was new but you grew to love it. To love the people. You've been keeping in touch with Peter via Face time but it wasn't enough. You have a plane ticket for tomorrow, Peter's birthday. Happy is picking you up from the airport and dropping you off at Peters. But as happy as you were you couldn't sleep. You were going to be back in New York. Close to the Avengers, close to home.

Your alarm blasted in your ears. 5 am and you were wide awake. You ran downstairs, already wearing your clothes, and made coffee. You grabbed your bags from the kitchen table and put them by the front door.

"Excited are we?" Your dad asked from the breakfast bar reading a paper. His glasses low on his nose and his steaming coffee in his hand.

"Very!" You said, he grinned and put down his things opening his arms. You hugged him tightly and he kissed your head.

"Stay with Happy." Your dad had been offered as the head of a new branch of shield. They want it everywhere and they started with him. You nod, giving him one more right squeeze and quickly grabbing your coffee.

Your mom was already waiting in the car. It was started and cool. "Ready baby?" She asked giving you a soft smile.

"Yep!" You said holding the wrapped present in your hand.

You search around the large room. Finding a sign that read "Y/N, L/N" Happy tried to hide the smile on his face but you know he was happy to see you.

"Hey happy, " He takes one of your bags and walks you to the car.

"Peters?" He asked sliding your bags in the trunk.

"Actually can we stop somewhere first?"

"Mhm!" You take another bite of the heavenly burger. Tony had shown you his favorite burger place way back when. You look out the window and catch a glimpse of the old and now bought Stark Tower. Avengers Tower. You had spent more time there than you had at home.

You snapped out of it when Happy opened up his second burger. He cheers me, "For Tony, "

And that was it. You were crying, but you smiled full of joy. Voice cracking you say, "For Tony."
