Chapter 10: The Summoning

They were now at the summoning area where call for Heroic Spirits were usually made within Chaldean's walls. Maiya was joined by Fujimaru who needed someone to shown him the ropes on doing the summoning. Also, this will be his first experience as well.

Before beginning the ritual, Maiya and Da Vinci took their time to explained Ritsuka the procedures. Since the teen was clearly had much lesser mana compared to his counterpart, the female caster gave him some multi coloured crystals she called Saint's Quarts to help him with his summoning. Maiya on the other hand refused the quarts, saying that she was more than capable to support her servants using her own mana.

When everything was prepared, the caster left the room to watch them from the observation area. The only servants left within the room was Kay and Arthur, who exchanged place with Percival and Tristan since the two knights were helping in the kitchen. They were there to prevent any danger from happening to the two masters in case a dangerous servants answered the summoning.

Since Maiya had experience in this area, albeit different from the one in her world, she was the first to go through the ritual. Since it was almost the same, Maiya crouched down and placed her hands, palms downwards above the lines and unleashed her mana. The sudden burst of energy causes the on looker to gasp, especially Da Vinci and Romani when the mana meter suddenly exploded due to the overloaded force. Despite the commotion happens around her, Maiya choose to ignored it and focus solely on the task at hand. She began to chant a modified version from Nivea's summoning spell.

"For the foundation, stone and archduke of contract;

For the ancestor, my great master Calidonius,

Close the gate of cardinal dimensions;

Come forth from the crown and follow the forked road leading the kingdom,

Fill, fill, fill, fill, fill. Repeat five time;

But, when each is filled, destroy it, set,

Heroic spirits from the past

I asked of thee, heed my beckons and come forth!

Lend me thy aid in restoring the chaos that had been brought upon this world!

Be my companion, the blade that purged all that is evil,

that protect all that is just;

heed my call and come to my aid,

Guardian of the holy grail!"

A loud bang and bright light erupted from the lines that made up the structure as the circle began to spin. Low humming voice that should have not excised during such summoning can be heard. The melody was soft, melancholy yet peaceful at the same time. As seconds ticks by, the centre light began to from silhouette of a person... a man judging from the built before the light died out.

By then they could see the servant that had answered Maiya's call, a very familiar hooded-male stood at the middle of the circle. "Seems like I've been summoned as a caster this time. We've meet before, right?" the male said, his red, fiery eyes shone mischievously when he recognized his summoner. Seeing her, the boy and the two knights, the newly summoned caster decided removed his hood, letting his long, blue hair cascading behind him.

Before they could expect anything, Maiya was already tackled the Irishman. Her slander arms wrapped aroung his neck before nuzzling against his collar, surprising the male who wrapped his arms around her to stabilize both of them, Fujimaru, Romani and Da Vinci. Arthur and Key choose not to say anything, knowing that the woman was missing the Irelander despite the short time their parted. Besides, this Cu Chulainn has established his position as her servant and won her heart romantically. However, he'll be needed to face her father and father figures to win her hand in marriage.

Said caster on the other hand felt the lady in his arms was trembling albeit doesn't seems to be obvious by others besides the servants. He also felt something wet against his neck, and knew that she was silently crying. "Missed me that much, beautiful?" he asked, receiving a nod from the woman as he gently running his fingers through his master's soft, silver hair. Ahh... how he loved to runs his fingers through the mass of silver. That was when he saw the earrings he'd gave her in Fuyuki, nested next to her sapphire jewel ones.

Wanting to see how she looks with his rune stones earrings on asides from getting out of the circle to give space for the next summoning rituals, Chulainn decided to bridal-carry his now permanent master out with him. His sudden move causes Maiya to let out a surprised squeal, much different from what to be expected from a trained fighter. However, since she was from an alternative world where everything is accepted, where woman can be warriors while retaining their feminine behaviour.

This, however give the chance to the Irish man to see the feminine side of the woman who'd won his heart, and found that she was beautiful, like he saw her before. But now, she looks adorable when she was frustrated and pouting expression, causing him to chuckled slightly as he carries her to the side and set her besides Arthur and Kay.

Both British men gave Chulainn a nod and a smile of acknowledgement, before an older, male version of the woman materialized next to them. Lancelot who saw the caster thrown him a smile before went to comfort his master.

A loud bang attracted the three servants and their master's attentions. But they could only saw faint shadow of who'd looks like a swordswoman stood in the centre of the circle like Chulainn did. A familiar saber stood in the middle, only this time she was wearing blue dress and silver armour instead of the black version. She also has bright green eyes and golden blond hair as a substitute to the lifeless yellow eyes and pale blond.

This however, causing the servants present within the room to tensed up, only slowly eased away when Maiya released her orange, flame-like mana around them to ensured that the new servant wasn't a threat. But they didn't leave her side as if being watchful of the new servant. "Servent Saber, I ask you, are you my master?" her strong voice asked Fujimaru Ritsuka, and despite the previous fear of the female saber, he knew that this one is different even if she had the same face.
