A vision... one annoying and cruel vision shrouded Maiya's dreamland as she was taking her rest. That's right, downright annoying despite the brutality of it especially when it was in the middle of the night.
If not for her line of work as a knighted mage and a temporal guardian, she would have break down to a hysterical mess, screaming herself awake of what she saw. Knowing that her partners would need to see the visions, Maiya pushed aside her pounding headache and concentrated to find the links within her that connected with her contracted spirits resides within Dyna.
Once Maiya's did, senses that were not hers began to flooded her already tired brain. It took some time for her to tune them out, sending warm mana through the threads that connected her to the warriors, mages, rulers, deities and sentinels that she had forged contract with. At once all of them muted, before a gentle voice she recognised as one of her forefathers, Solomon asked her. "Is there something wrong, Luna?"
Luna... his nickname for her. Solomon really loves to called her that due to her hair shone beautiful silver in the moon. Like Frau and some other dwellers of Dyna, the formal king of Israel too loves her hair. The reasons, they symbolise the growing bond made between them and Maiya. Plus, every strands seems to act like a flame and mana circuit which was easily accessed by any of those who formed a bond with her should they want to.
"It's nothing really. I just wants every ones' opinion regarding the visions I just saw," Maiya answered, a hint of wariness filled her voice. Due to that gruesome vision, the mage knight wonders how far does this world version of history had been twisted. This caused her to worried for her counterpart's safety when they are France to solve it.
Feeling her worries, another one of her spirit partners decided to voiced his own thought. This time, it was Gabriel, one of the Archangels and the Massager of God. "Is something bothered you, little one?" he asked, voice soft and filled with warmth and love, most of all worried for his and Uriel's contractor. The human child may be brave... tougher than any mortal they know of. But amongst all those heroic front, she was a gentle, kind, loving and accepting soul... easily loved by anyone and accept anyone despite that individual's past.
"It's just... I think it's might be easy to show you guys instead of explaining it," Maiya said. "Sounds like it's a gruesome one if you didn't want to talk about it, sweetheart" this time it was Kasen, one of the sword gods
Maiya sigh, the only signal for her spirit-mates to prepared themselves for the vision they'll about to see. That's when the vision began to play.
Vision
A lone female with short, pale blond hair, same coloured eyes wearing black battle armour and headpiece walk into a room while holding a flag. Next to her stood a man? No maybe an ex-human, he seems to had lose every shades of humanity he had possessed before this. Back to the woman, she seems to be doing the same summoning ritual that Maiya and Ritsuka had done to summoned spirits from the Throne of Heroes. The proof... the spell used was different and wasn't specific like the one used to summon those from the world called Dyna. But they recognised it as a spell to summoned the berserkers class heroic spirits.
Light erupted from the summoning circle in front of the woman before five individuals appealed in front of them. The on-looker could immediately identify which classes and nations they represented. A female Greek archer, a male Russian lancer, a female Hungarian assassin wearing half mask that covered her upper feature, and a female France rider, a saintess judging from the weapon of choice, however corrupted by the mad enchantment.
The woman greeted them before she began to talk about destruction and slaughter of people and civilisations. The part when she spoken about God forgive them for sins, that she wanted revenge against France after what they done with her.
Ends...
After the vision, the archangels and Christians sentinels who watched the vision with them openly protested. They were clearly upset with the woman action in misusing the name of the Lord God.
By the time she revealed herself as Jeanne D'arc, the Dragon witch... none of them could say anything. After all, they couldn't blame this version of her since their Jeanne also suffered the same fate. Famed as a witch, tortured and that executed by burning at the stake.
Britain had already abandon such punishment since Arthurian Era, after Morgan La Frey tried to killed her brother's soulmate, Queen Lin Ling through the same way of execution had not for Lancelot, Gawain and Merlin's interference. But even if Britain abandon such practice, it doesn't mean any other country would follow soon after. That's just how history was.
"It's no wonder you didn't want to talk regarding this situation, Maiya," Uriel, with his gentle voice despite his status as The Archangel of Judgement stated. He was clearly worried with this kind of development. "Well, if that Jeanne has the ability to summons dragons, that we have dragon-slayers, riders and assassins ready for the task," Key said in his usual 'happy-go-lucky' tone, with a predatory edge in them as well.
"Indeed, I would be happy to lend you a hand in this, Lady Maiya. Just call me Sieg in case my counterpart appeared." Siegfried, the Germanic 'dragon-slayer' aka rider offered. He's one of the few spirits who had experience in battle against the top phantasmal beast, apart from forming a beast contract with Fafnir, the treasure keeper dragon to bust his legend. The others also voiced their agreement to lend her their help, in which Maiya was glad to received them.
"Granddaughter, you can just call us whenever you need our assistance," her most ancient forefather, Gilgamesh commented in spite the line connected them give of the feeling that he was busy. Despite his clued way of speaking, every one of them knew behind that the Demigod Ruler of primordial Babylon aka Uruk loves and treasured those he saw as family. An odd way to show that you're care and affection. But that's just how Gilgamesh was.
Suddenly, Maiya felt a pair of arms snaked over her shoulders before pulling her into a warm embrace. The female master doesn't have to look at who it was, since their long apple green hair already caressing and mixed in with her own silver ones. "Enkidu-nii?" she called out, reaching to touch the arm that held her. The being hums in respond before saying, "It's like Gil said, Maiya. We will help no matter if you call us or no."
Affection and stubbornness shone in their beautiful golden eyes, a sign that he won't accept no as an answer and Maiya knows that it wasn't just the Chain of Heaven and Gilgamesh alone, the others as well. Then again, Maiya never restricted their movement as she always appreciated the help they gave her. So instead of protesting against argument that involved not one, but many multiple people especially older, wiser and experiences than herself.
Maiya stiffens her yawn, trying to hide her fatigue from the almost divine being. But of course, it was useless since the bond allowed the spirits to know her health and other status. Enkidu ended up tucking her in and stay by her side until she fell asleep. But he didn't return to Uruk right away, instead he chooses to explored Chaldea in stealth mode.
