Carrie tugged at her dress, only to have her hand slapped away by Ellie. 'Don't touch it!' she warned, shaking her head. 'You look gorgeous.'
Carrie sighed, rolling her eyes at the stressed out bride. 'Okay, okay, I won't.'
Ellie glanced at her other bridesmaid. 'Don't touch yours, either, Gina,' she warned her best friend. 'You both look great as you. I don't want anything going wrong today.'
'Today's going to run smoothly,' Carrie promised, offering her an encouraging smile. 'You don't need to be so stressed out about it. Everything's going to be fine.'
'Yeah, just worry that you remember to say I do,' Gina joked.
'Don't say that!' Ellie fretted, shaking her head. 'At this rate, I will forget it! You're making me so nervous.'
Gina grinned at her. 'Don't you think the more I joke about it, the more likely you are to remember it? If I keep mentioning it, it'll stay in your head.'
'She'll be so focused on saying that, she'll trip over her dress on the way down the aisle,' Carrie butted in, a mischevious grin on her face.
'Guys!' Ellie moaned loudly. 'Stop saying that!'
The two bridesmaids laughed. 'We're only joking,' Gina reassured her. 'You're going to do great, El, I promise you.'
'I'm so nervous,' she sighed.
The door opened before she could say any more and the wedding planner entered. 'Okay, ladies, we're ready to go.'
Ellie took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. 'I can do this,' she muttered to herself. 'I can.'
Carrie and Gina picked up the ends of her dress as she left the room. They arrived at the entrance to the room and they dropped the trails of the dress.
'Don't forget to say I do,' Gina winked.
'And don't trip over, either,' Carrie laughed softly as they stepped in front of her.
The two of them walked down the aisle first, each of them holding a bunch of flowers. They both looked stunning in their matching lilac dresses.
Carrie's eyes met Sebastian's as she walked down the aisle and she lifted her chin slightly for him, a smile turning the corners of her mouth up.
He smiled briefly at her, lifting his chin back at her.
Carrie took her place at the front row, and Gina stood beside her. The whole room waited until the organ started and the doors at the back opened.
Ellie came into the room in all her beauty on her father's arm, her face hidden by her veil, although Carrie knew she would be grinning. Despite being nervous about getting married, Ellie was beyond excited. Every bride was.
Carrie almost burst out laughing at Sebastian's stunned expression as he saw his bride in her dress for the first time.
Ellie arrived at the front and stood opposite Sebastian, who didn't try and hide the flare of heat in his eyes as he saw her.
The ceremony dragged on, with the minister blabbing on, before eventually, he stated the vows. Ellie said 'I do,' and Sebastian followed once he was asked.
'Score, she remembered to say I do, and she didn't trip on her dress on the way up the aisle,' Gina murmured softly in her ear, a wicked glint in her eyes.
Carrie had to refrain from laughing as the priest told Sebastian he could kiss his bride, which he did without protest. She joined in the whooping and clapping along with the rest of the crowd, before Sebastian pulled back, a large grin on his face.
