Chapter 12 :그런가요..? Rumors

Rumors. No one likes them. They can ruin someone's life. Make that person feel depressed and it can make their self esteem low. Others tend to ignore it, while others- the victims don't. 

For once something is see and assumed. It'll take awhile to clear up. But with that being said the right people can clear things in no time at all. For others itll take longer. 

But for jungguk he fell victim. 

"Oh no.. no no no.." jungguk mumbled, he had decided that he would go to the kitchen after the whole moment with taehyung and check his phone. Which was a bad idea. Considering that the media was exploding with pictures of him and taehyung from their little moment. Whomever took the photos got the point of which taehyung had kissed his cheek. 

It wouldn't be so bad if the media didn't assume something horrid. But they did. They had assumed that jungguk was… well.. Taehyung's new 'hook up' which was untrue of course. They had only met a week or so before and he knew taehyung wasnt that type of guy to do that. He was too kind hearted,sweet and genuine, unlike those fuckboys of the media.

"What's wrong?" Jimin had asked with urgency in his  voice as he rusted over to the peach haired male to look at his phone. 

"People are starting to think I'm taehyung's new 'hook up' …. I mean he would never do that right..?" Jungguk asked gripping his phone in his hand as it shook softly. 

"Never in a million years would I do that to you jungguk, hell i would never do that in the first place, freaking media and assuming shit" taehyung spoke aloud as he walked through the staff door, making jungguk look up in surprise.

"What are you going to do though taehyung? The media is assuming - making rumors about you two!" Jimin exclaimed making jungguk shake more and tears well up. Taehyung noticed and his eyes softened.

"Come here ggukie" taehyung motioned for jungguk to move into his arms for a comforting hug and the younger basically fell into his open arms. He had buried his head into the others shoulder as he gripped at taehyung's grey flannel buttoned shirt. Taehyung held the other close and rubbed his back softly as he rocked their bodies back and forth helping to calm the younger.

"I'll release a statement- they'll believe me if I word it right" taehyung replied softly but in a deep tone.

"Okay" jimin nodded with a sigh. 

"You're okay gguk, you'll be okay" taehyung whispered into jungguks ear softly as to calm him down from one of his light panic attacks. Taehyung didn't know of course since jungguk hadn't mentioned it. 

"What..will.. will you ..you say?" Jungguk asked while sniffing lightly and cutely, looking up at taehyung with glossy doe eyes. 

"You'll have to wait to find out okay?" 

Jungguk nodded and felt taehyung wipe his tears from his reddened cheeks. The peach haired male still felt about shaky in taehyung's arms. The shaking was light but still there.

"Why are you shaking gguks?" Taehyung asked with concern laced in his voice and softened eyes.

"Uh...um… well.. I...I get..get panic attacks… easily….it ...it  depends on the situation of course but.. it was triggered by the media saying those ...rumors" jungguk stammered out slowly in a shaky tone. 

"Oh I'm so sorry gguks" 

"It's not your fault, it happens and I'm used to it" jungguk replied shaking his head.

"Yeh, he use to get them a lot more back in school, they had lessened over time but now it's rare for him to get them" jimin explained to taehyung with a light sigh and watched as jungguk looked down and pouted.

"Well… I don't mind.. I'll be happy to be there if you need me to help in anyway"  taehyung said to jungguk as the younger looked up with sparkling soft bambi eyes.

"Really??... thank you so so much" jungguk jumped up and wrapped his arms around the others neck in a tight hug as taehyung caught him by his thighs and held him up, both males were smiling softly.

Jimin smiled at them. He was happy jungguk found someone who didn't mind the youngers anxiety nor his little habits. But he did wish that jungguk would tell taehyung that he was 'bunny'. It annoyed him so.

"I should go and write that statement now" taehyung sighed and place the younger down in the ground with a soft thud.

"O..okay" jungguk muttered softly looking down but before taehyung left, he tipped jungguks head up softly by his chin and placed a kiss on his nose with a soft smile. Taehyung then left. 

Jimin was trying so hard not to scream. He was biting his lip and looked like he was about to burst with a scream.

"W..what?" Jungkook asked softly with a tint of blush on his cheeks.

"HEKISSEDYOUOMG!!!!" 

"Huh? Say it again? you pushed all your words together there" jungguk asked while pushing his bangs out the way.

"I said He kissed you omg omg!!" Jimin said again and jumped up and down. Jungguk watched with a soft confused expression and felt his phone go off in his hand. He checked it and it was an Instagram post from Taehyung.

It stated:

'I have seen those rumors of me and jungguk. I would like to say he isn't just some 'hook up'. You all should know me well enough that I would never do that to someone as close as him. I've also seen some of the recent rumors that 'he's using me for my popularity',which again is untrue. I know him well enough to know he isn't like that. He is a sweet, kind and has a heart of gold. He knows how to treat people kindly and when he does, he expects nothing in return. I'm very disappointed in the community of the media. 

If you don't get that then i suggest you - yes all of you who made up those rumors- to mind your own damn business!

Kim Taehyung'

Jungkook didn't know how to feel. Taehyung had gone out of his way not only to stick up for him but to know what he thought of him. Sweet, Kind. Has a heart of gold? jungguk didn't know that about himself yet taehyung already knew. It's like he had seen right through him. 

"Oh taehyung released the statement and went ham oh my god" jimin commented with a smirk. Jungguk nodded in agreement. He didn't expect that.

"Oooh he's also protecting his boyfriend~" jimin continued in a sing songy voice with a smirk as jungguk blushed heavily and whacked him on his shoulder. 

"Owie… what was that for?" Jimin groaned in pain and pouted.

" he's.. not..my boy..boyfriend-" 

"Yet" jimin cut him off by finishing making jungguk hide his face in his hands and silently screaming.

Rumors were rumors but they can hurt. 
When all is said and done 
Rumors turn out to be untrue
Though sometimes they are true. 

Is that so? Rumors will just be that rumors.
